Yeah, they're obviously forced. I understand why they do it though, as it helps the speakers and it also helps getting others to clap, as people usually follow others starting a clap.

Still if you're clever you're not trying to force it, though I imagine to get people along you have to be aggressive. Just makes things seem worse imo at least.
