Beyond: Two Souls emabrgo date

3 hours in, all I can say it's long time I have felt so emotional because of a game like now. I even feel bad in the stomach.

Just played the Demo to completion, I had a blast playing this game, the graphics are crazy, I hope this game does well. Gonna support this for sure.

They just announced this won't be day one digital.

If I could pirate it I would, but I'm just going to buy it used and trade it in a day or two later.

uh........

As someone who refuses to buy physical games, it's a great annoyance when pirates can easily play a digital copy, and I have to wait several months for a digital release that may never happen.

I'm completely willing to pay the PSN tax for this digitally, but yet they refuse to give it to me.

Day-of-release embargo on a game this high-profile means they're probably anticipating middling reviews.

I don't blame them after trying the demo. Seems alright, but those controls just aren't going to cut for some (maybe even a lot of) people.

I thought the controls were fine, although it took me a few minutes to adjust to Aiden's controls.

They are certainly much better than they were in Heavy Rain.

Excellent. I still need to play the demo..all I know for now is that the track that plays when you select the game is god like

So you're willing to buy a physical copy and trade it in when you're done, yet you'd prefer a digital copy which you can't trade in or sell if you end up hating it and wish you hadn't bought it? That makes a lot of sense.

Yes baby. Please report back after you beat it. Just say if the release embargo is justified because of some stupid shit or if it is nothing and Sony is just afraid of spoilers.

I don't buy physical media, in the same way I don't print things anymore, send letters, or get paper bills.

I'm a fan of Heavy Rain, so I'm very disappointed that this isn't coming to PSN.

Well, it's your loss if you'd rather miss out on a great game just because it's not coming to PSN the same day as retail. Seems silly to me, I prefer retail releases but I wouldn't just not buy a game that looks good because it's digital only.

I'm disappointed as well though not too surprised given Heavy Rain still isn't on PSN

Im gonna report back when I finish it how I feel, nothing about the game, but how I feel (like about why the embargo is so close to release?).

Fantastic. Please do that. Really curious about that. But maybe since they are doing it with rain too there is no problem at all. Let's see and thank you :)

Don't know if people think they're like Robin Hood when they say this...

No matter what the circumstance even if it's fucking Gameloft, pirating things is shitty. The better way to protest against Gameloft (or in this case Quantic Dream) is to not buy the game and not play it.

I also got my review copy the other day. Haven't played it yet (GTAV) but I don't think they would get the review copy out this early if they are afraid of bad reviews.

Where is that logic coming from ? Did Rockstar also anticipate bad reviews for GTAV when the embargo was the day before release ? Guys...

So I just finished, just about 13 hours or so (so over the 10 hours David Cage said).

It was an emotional rollercoaster ride. I felt angry and sad. Angry due to some shit people did in the game (wanted to kill those people) and sad (most of the time). I even cried about 4 times or so.

The story is nothing like Heavy Rain. It was good, very well (both exciting and emotional) and I had just a couple of pauses.

I guess the reason for the embargo lift is so close release is simply due to it's easy to spoil the big "thing" about the game, very easy. When I write my review, it's gonna be incredible difficulty to write about the story.

The game was awesome. Buy it.

I really want to write more about how the game/story is built up since it's nothing I guess you GAFfers will expect it to be. But due to the embargo I can't. So Im gonna just say I was very confused the first 2-3 hours, then things got more clear about how the game/story was built.

Good impressions. From the sound of that it does seem that the embargo is to prevent surprising stuff from leaking.

EmptySpace's virtual particles just became real.

Played the demo and this is one of the most impressive games of the year. Visually its the best looking game this gen. This has the potential to be something special.

I have two questions: have you played the demo before? Does it spoil a lot? I'm even afraid to go into the demo thread to read about it. I want no spoilers at all.

Second question, just out of curiosity: does Sony still send white disks for reviews?

I played the demo I got from that GameStop Facebook thing. It's hard to say if it's spoiling, but If you want to go 100% clean from the story until the game releases, I would stay away form the game. But the 2 scenes or whatever in the demo does not give you important information other than an introduction for the different mechanics.

TL;DR: Don't play the demo if you don't need and want to stay clean.

Still white disks.
