I can't believe this is legal! Although, I wonder how they are going to parse the reams of data - and what they'll be parsing for (I'm sure we can guess :) )

How hard would it be to disable the KeyLogger?

America is no longer free.

We have been monitored in various increasing ways, beginning back most likely in the late 70s.

Big Brother is now. Accept it, move on. Once you can handle this concept, you can start participating in the resistance.

A good place to start would be picking up a copy of 2600. It's a quarterly mag, check it out in the PC magazine section of a bookstore. $5.50.

Uhm, people are believing some random page with the name "lol.html"?

I mean, I'm as paranoid as anyone but this is just ridiculous.

Also hit up AdBusters for some great resistance tactics to corporate consumerism - the other powers that run the country. There's a yearly campaign going to sell and have displayed on the Fourth the Corporate American Flag, in protest of the power corporations have over citizens.

Behold the Corporate American Flag:

:lol Like I said, better than Alias or 24. ;)

Oh shit, I got a great idea! I'm gonna send link to this site to Attack of the Show email and see if they do a story on it! You KNOW they'd do it, they are desperate for material! :D

Except that the guy who runs engadget is co-hosting the show this week.

That's why I kind of tempered my intial shock, mainly because of the source path and filename, which had me questioning the validity of the material. Obviously, this appears to be a prank from a jokester or an angry Dell customer.

However, the hardware exists, and it's in use by military and financial institutions, right? What would stop libraries from using these in the future, especially if the Patriot Act II passed w/o any restrictions?
