Orion Pictures confirmed the shift early Thursday when releasing a second trailer in advance of a virtual Comic-Con panel set to take place this weekend.

99% of it's fans experienced the original on home video anyway. It's not a movie I'd need to see on the big screen, more one that I'd go to see if it was that weeks new movie and I was planning to go out anyway.

I'm glad that this was the outcome at least. I knew theaters would be unlikely to open anytime soon, but I still really wanted to see this. I'm legit excited to see it. The first 2 are classics, and this one looks like a passion project for those involved.

I just hope it does well. Not so we get another sequel or anything, but because it was made by people who really wanted to be a part of the project. I like it when passion pays off.

I'm fine with this. Better than pushing movies back in the hopes of all theaters opening again. Bill & Ted Face the Music will play in some theaters, but the I'll watch it hat home. Bill & Ted Face the Music looks like the perfect threequel to Excellent Adventure, and Bogus Journey.

Man..I don't know what's wrong with me. But I am not feeling this movie with these two trailers. I loved the first two..but watching this makes me cringe. I think it's just how Bill and Ted are acting...it just seems so forced. Maybe its I can't see them being old as they are...Still plan on seeing the movie...but I don't have a good feeling about it.

The movie itself looks like crap. Another gender reboot which will most likely flop. COVID will save it from being go woke go broke.

I am calling it now, the Daughters were the real wild staillions all along. Ret con the first 2 movies. Seems like a Dark Fate reboot where these new characters of Billy and Tedina will be able to take up the mantle so they can pump out a new triology. Probably kill Alex or Keannu to just for that extra little bit of shitting on the legacy. Also gonna wonder how they will write of Carlin, I am sure it will be in a distasteful way that will piss off the fan base.

Bill and Ted look old and tired. Don't care about their daughters at all. Don't care about the WAMANZ future. Interest completely dropped like a rock.

This really is a beta test to kill theaters all together isn’t it lol. Disney and WB should just get over it piss off AMC etc and release Black Widow and Wonder Woman 84.

Well it did look like a straight to video movie in the trailer. Hopefully it ends up being watchable or even good but I'm not holding my breath.

I didn't get that. Looks like Bill and Ted are still very prominent. The dark haired girl is kinda cute too.

Movie looks meh but still fun nonetheless.

This trailer is much better than the first non-trailer.

Caught some feels seeing the historical figures thing again, I wasn't expecting that.

Not crazy about their daughters tagging along, especially considering it's clearly a virtue signalling retcon of what was supposed to be their 2 sons. Even if they were their sons I wouldn't really want them tagging along either.

I wanna see Bill & Ted and the other characters I've grown to love, not these new unknowns.

But we'll see how it turns out.

The VOD release makes me take pause too.

Thats the trailer, I feel they are hiding it. First trailer didn't even really hint at the two girls. 2nd trailer they are becoming more prominent.

I could be wrong but I have a feeling that the movie will focus on trying to make the daughters into the new B&T, while phasing out Keannue and Alex and everything we loved about the original. Really feeling this as a Dark Fate attempt to reboot a new triology. We will see in september, but with time travel and alternate realiteis its ripe for a retcon and pissing on our beloved characters so these new ones can come in.

I call it The Last of Us 2ing.

Keanu Reeves has actually become a worst actor over the years. Compare him here to the OG Bill and Ted, Speed, or even the original Matrix. Even Constantine. His range of emotions--limited to begin with--has gotten narrower, and the ones he is capable of showing have gotten less convincing.

He's great in John Wick because it doesn't require him to do anything except brood. And for someone his age he sure has put in the work physically. But here in the new B&T I can't stand to watch him.

Honestly my critical threshold is so fucking low these days because of the lack of new content that I will probably love it even more not having to wait after a long theatrical run to see it after it’s been discussed and nitpicked to death on the inter webs. I love going to the cinema but not for anything where the theatrical experience isn’t worth the expense. I pretty much only went to Disney, Pixar Marvel, DC and Star Wars films the last few years and just bought Or rented comedies and dramas on iTunes.

Looks absolutely terrible.

I can see the blond guy needing to do anything to make a buck, since he's done virtually nothing since the last B&T movies. No doubt it's a quick cash in, but Keanu Reaves has got to have better movie prospects than doing this.

Checking both old B&T movies, each one only made about $40 million at the box office! I thought these movies made a ton considering how popular these movies are in the hey days.

I think it looks like a Bill and Ted movie which is awesome. Little things like Death cheating by himself at hopscotch. Looking forward to it.

Oh no....I just got a real bad feeling after watching the trailer again....

"A song created by Preston and Logan" the woman from the future said. Please no...don't tell me they're gonna have the daughters be the saviors of the future now. They didn't say "Bill and Ted", they said their last names...which their daughters probably share...and we saw in the trailer they're going back in time to get musicians...ugh...oh no....

This movie has that weird, bloomy, fake look like it's using a lot of depth of field after effects.

It looks like they shoot the whole thing on a green screen.

I hope we get a satisfying explanation how Bill and Ted go from superstars at the end of Bogus to super sad at the beginning of FtM.

I just don't see how it can be good. With long coming sequels like this you tend to get flanderization of the characters. They can't recreate what made them so great. I think of dumb and dumber 2 where instead of being two dumb naive but good hearted guys they ramped the dumb up to 100 and became assholes.

Like B&T 1 and 2 where only about 3 years apart so its not that hard but now its been 20 years.
