We say Black&White 2 now has a final release date! We know we mentioned two different dates a while ago, one for North America and one for Europe, but can now confirm that Black&White 2 has a worldwide release date of 7th October 2005.

Anyone planning on picking it up?

I am tempted, but it'll probably look like crap on my 9600XT. I think I'm done with PC gaming until Diablo 3 arrives or my soul gets addicted to WoW (which, strangely, hasn't happened yet.)

Ill get it. I hated the original because it was sooo damn overrated, but it was still fun.

Kudos to Lionhead. All signs point to them getting this game right.

They've been completely tactful with the hyping for this game. Not only that, but they've concentrated their efforts where it counts. Single Player.

If they can release a solid multiplayer as a free download, all the better, but at least we're guaranteed a solid game.
