BRING ON THE LAUNNNNNNNCHH
I remember there is a Character Creator program. Can we use it to set up our character for launch?

Ah I was hoping I could set up some character. Should have done so in CBT since, I guess, the saved data will carry over.
How limited is the player-to-player trading in this game? I tried to trade a random guy in town during CBT2, but I think everything I had on me was soulbound. Can I craft gear/consumables for my friends and give it to them?
Also, is Energy anything like Labor from ArcheAge? What all is it used for?
Energy System
Unlike the KR version, processing requires energy. Especially at a lower level this may slow you down more than you might enjoy. However, this feature is part of a controlling mechanism to prevent the marketplace to be overflowed with certain items, hence destroying the actual benefit from using that feature in the first place and to partially slow down the progress in benefit of the games longevity.
However, we have taken your feedback into consideration and the result should be in everyones interest. Energy Potions will not be sold in the Cash Shop. In addition, it is currently being discussed to add a system that allows players to consult an NPC that will magically transfer your unused energy into an Energy Potion which can be sold on the marketplace. Ultimately this will lead to a shift of energy and allow people to collect energy over time to utilize it when needed.
Additionally, processing at a higher profession level will receive a chance of not consuming any energy at random.
No player to player trading.
The energy changes was posted a few posts before this one.
Thanks for the reply, and sorry for the redundant questions. I searched for "trading" and only found stuff talking about trade packs and such. Then I just sort of threw the second question in while making the post. The player-to-player trading thign confused me because I thought I had heard there was none, but I was able to open a trade window with another player, I just didn't have anything I could put in there.

They enabled P2P trading in CBT1 for potions and stuff, but it's likely to be fully turned off for release.
I'm all for gold sellers having dick all to do with the game besides powerleveling.
So this game got me to upgrade my PC. I was tempted to upgrade when I played the ArcheAge beta and couldn't run it very well but I decided not to in the end. The Black Desert CBT2 finally got me to do it though, sandbox MMOs are my weakness it seems. It was about time anyways since I could barely run other modern games on low settings @ 1080p.
Anyways, I hope it doesn't take them too long to add the Blader class. Looks really fun to play.
Thinking of pre-ordering this today, not sure if I should get the Traveler or Explorer pack though.
I compared the differences, for an extra $20 to get these:
+1 extra day early access
+1 extra character slot
+2 Housing decor coupons
+2 Unknown dye boxes
+2 Partial skill resets
Weapon skin
Tier 3 horse
Horse whistle
Pet of choice
Worth it or not?
1) It does come out of the guild funds, right now my guild is making an agreement not to "cash out" our daily funds until we've built the guild up as you HAVE to be on contract to earn the guild points/leveling up, not being on a contract just puts you in the guild, but you don't help it.
2) Guild Tax is separate from paychecks.
3) Yes
4)See above
5) No idea on the karam part sadly.
Thanks for all the clarifications!
One last thing, can you be in multiple guilds?
No, you can only be in one.
When you join a guild you join as Family not as a Character.
There is some crazy negativity and missinformation in this thread (not surprised with that many different versions of the game and a drastically different end game compared to other mmos as well as the "fear" of ptw)
So to lighten up the mood:
Share your characters!
I completely forgot to take non character selection screens of everyone but my witch...
Are we going to have an EU guild? Would be awesome, I continue to have great fun with the (small) Blade and Soul EU guild.
(I wish the outfit didn't show her panties, looks pretty bad on an otherwise nice outfit)
Okay... So I forked over the cash for the $30 edition... Yet I could upgrade to the $50 edition... Is the $50 going to be worth it?
The parts that make me want to almost do it are:
1. The horse.
2. The horse whistle
3. A Pet
4. 2 Characters Slots
5. Exclusive Weapon skin
Not to mention the increase bonuses from the $30...
Hm...
How many character slots do you have in the game? Base?

Base is 4 slots.
Whistle is rather useless cause its only 300m from a stable.
Rest I dunno... Im honestly in the same situation as you lol
Yeah, I'd kill to play Blader.Base is 4?
Damn, it might be worth it for that alone. I know there is new classes I may want to play that aren't going to be out at launch.
Yeah, I'd kill to play Blader.
I think both the $50 and $100 pack aren't really worth it unless you're planning on going hard in the paint to get ahead of the bulk of people when it comes to leveling.
But, if you do want to do that, then the $100 pack makes the most sense to me. Tier 5 horse without effort is pretty amazing by itself.
If they don't change it from CBT2:Do we know how much character slots are on their own?
I don't know how long it would take to get that much loyalty though.
It's 100 Loyalty Points a day, so 50 days. I mean there's so few classes.
Unless you're making alts of every single class, I don't see a point of spending money.
I always focus on one character for a very long time.
This game gives a huge advantage on using alts though, with the shared energy and CPoints.
If they don't change it from CBT2:

(1000 pearls = $10) so, $6

You can also get them from the loyalty shop though

I don't know how long it would take to get that much loyalty though.
So either I pay $10 in the end or $15 (cause I'm getting you may have enough to then buy 500 gems to get it?) after launch to get 2 characters... OR I just fork over $20 now, get the two slots and get a couple of neat bonuses and the like to help me along my way...
Cause I'm liking the look of the other classes that aren't out and if making Alts is good... 6 might be better than 4.
You get 1 extra slot for $30 pack.
I know. But I may want 6 slots rather than 5.
Cause I know I want a Valkyrie, a Blader, a Kunochi/Ninja, Witch, Sorcerer, Ranger or Tamer.
Yeah, I'm not one of those "make a million alt" types
I'll be making a Witch to start, a Valkyrie if I figure out how to make them good, and Kunoichi which will probably come out in half a year.
For me it really all depends on the game.
In GW2, I have every class (9 total) maxed out.
Making different classes is pretty much the only way you'll have to do combat differently, besides the awakening weapons that will come later.
God, I can't wait for those. I hope the updates are regular and meaty.
if we do make one we should totes display are characters and suchwho is making the OT? if we get one.
