Waiting for a TV.

Debating going to Best Buy tonight for the 40" Toshiba.

I swung by 2 Best Buy's in my area. Already at least 20 people camped out on each store. No way you can walk in and get that Toshiba 40 inch TV unless BB restricts its purchase somehow.

I'm a bit ignorant of hard drives. What's the benefit to getting an SSD? It seems like you're paying a huge premium for it, given the # of GBs you're getting.

Read/writes speeds are incredible fast. It's the biggest upgrade you can make on a modern system.

Insanely fast read/write speeds. Put your OS + most frequently used programs / games on the SSD, then use a secondary hard drive with big capacity for data storage. I can boot up Windows 7 in 10 seconds, just as an example.

Anyone know if there are lines at Sears?

I really want that 50" for 300$ or I anyone knows any good alternatives. If not I'm tempted to pick up that LG at Fry's.

I hope that Lenovo twist deal is also included online. I really don't want to go to Staples tonight.

Does anybody think I'll be able to find AC3 online for $25 anywhere? The microsoft store is sold out...

According to CAG, no, but the next best is $35, which isn't too bad.

Assassins Creed III
$24.99 at Microsoft Store - Thursday to Monday
$34.99 at Best Buy - Thursday
$38.96 at Walmart - Thursday 8pm
$59.99 + $20 gift card at Target - Thursday 9pm
$49.99 at GameStop - Friday & Saturday

Edit:
That's good, but I'm sure there has to be something better. I've been searching, but I haven't found what they are looking for yet.

Yeah, that was just the first one i saw under $450. I've been looking for tv's too, but i'm looking a little higher.

Actually, here's the one i'm looking at now. Its about $500, but it looks pretty good for the cost.

From best buy

If any of you are interested in the White Vita w/ AC3 Bundle. Looks like Amazon's bundle is going to be amazing.

From Polygon.com:

An Assassin's Creed 3 PlayStation Vita bundle is hitting Amazon.com today for $179.99, and will feature a white PS Vita, a 4GB memory card and copy of Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation for the handheld device.
Also included in the Thanksgiving deal is download code for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, 30-day code for PlayStation Plus and a $10 Gift Card toward Assassin's Creed 3 on Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 consoles, an Amazon representative told Polygon.
This follows last week's reveal from Sony regarding an Assassin's Creed 3 Vita bundle including a PlayStation Vita limited Edition white Wifi device, Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation and a 4GB memory card for $199.99.

Wow that looks great. Any idea when this goes live.

this goes live Friday at 12AM PST. I believe it's a gold box deal, not a lightning deal. Amazon reps have mentioned that they are sure they won't sell out immediately, I'm doubting that though, haha.

Update: The Assassin's Creed 3 PS Vita bundle will hit Amazon.com on Nov. 23, taking over the website's Gold Box page at 12 p.m. PST.

Not sure if 12PM PST is a typo.

Fuck impulse buying. I bought a 4th Gen iPad for $439 with $20 cashback through AMEX and another 5% cashback through Chase. I also have an iPad Mini sitting on my desk, one of them is going back....

lol so two AAA multi-plat games are selling less than Halo 4? Give me some of what you're smoking ROFL
Halo 3 sold 3.3 million in September 2007 NPD on a single platform, and I expect Halo 4 to do similar numbers since it has all of November for its NPD tracking. NBA 2K13 sold 1.2 million in October NPD across 5 platforms and will likely be alot more front loaded than Halo. Assassins Creed Revelations sold 1.2 million in November 2011 NPD across two platforms, and I don't expect it to exceed 2 million this time around.

So yeah, I'm not sure what you're arguing about.
