I think I am going to skip best buy on the wii u deal and get a few games and 15% eshop cards. I can't remember which store but I think they had cards at 20% off last year? Or 25%?

Best Buy will also have $100 off any iPad Air 2 model as their doorbuster. And a 50" Panasonic LED TV for $200. And a 55" Samsung 4KTV for $900. Seems like some crazy prices. Not sure about the quality of the TVs though.

Best Buy's ad is really a mixed bag for me. I expected it to blow Target's out of the water and it really...didn't. Maybe I expected too much after last year's terrific sale.

Blu-ray deals are really lackluster. The xbone bundle isn't as good. $100 iPad Air 2 versus $140 gc for Target. I dunno, pretty meh.

Hoping for Walmart to come through now.

The WiiU bundle is a pretty great value, especially since you're getting four high-quality first party Nintendo titles - one fresh off the presses. But I think it's extremely short sighted to not have a <$250 option on shelves. They could be really competitive this season, when a lot of people are buying new consoles. But it seems like they're more interested in playing the long game.

Starting to feel pretty good that I bit on buying the ONE & Mordor/GTA/Halo when I did. Seems like chopping $20 off the price is standard procedure (unless you're willing to get trampled to death at a Target trying to get a doorbuster.)

Also, this is buried a few pages deep. Logitech gaming mouse for $80, with $50 in Steam credit.

The Xbox One deals are outrageous at Black Friday. Microsoft are going ham. I love competition!

Really tempted to get The Evil Within... anyone got any impressions on that?

$100 off the iPad Air 2 is better than $140 GC at Target unless you use your RED card since $100 takes off tax as well.

Ugh every game I'm looking for this Black Friday hasn't been on sale anywhere yet.

Wal-mart and Gamestop left. There's still a chance. What games are you looking for?

Games that are unlikely to go on sale: GTA V, Dragon Age Inquisition, LBP3, Persona Q, Pokemon, Smash Bros for Wii U.

Does Best Buy normally post these prices online too, or just in-store? Wait until Cyber Monday? I'd rather pick up in-store at a later date than have to wade through insanity.

Assuming 9% tax

Regular price: $499 * 1.09 = $543.91
Best Buy: $399 * 1.09 = $434.91

Savings: $109

Target: $499 * 1.09 = $543.91
Later trip (say $300): $300 * 1.09 = $327
Later trip w/ gc: ($300 - $140) * 1.09 = $174.40

Savings: $152.6

So, no.

Well with GCU that Wii U deal at Best Buy saves you like $30.

The Meijer deal where it's $280 for the 3D World bundle and you get a $30 gift card might be the winner. Plus it's an actual fucking FRIDAY deal instead of making me waste my entire Thanksgiving waiting on a sale.

Driveclub (shocked this hasn't appeared anywhere yet), Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (Nintendo hasn't really appeared anywhere yet), and a few 3DS games (Fire Emblem: Awakening, Yoshi's New Island, etc).

Sorry I cut that part out of my OP but if you follow the link for the ad, the first page says: "2 ways to shop. All day Th/F online or Th/F in store." Not sure if this applies to EVERY item.

I'm debating whether I should get a television or not. I just purchased a 40" M series Vizio a little over a year ago, but I'm kind of regretting the size at the moment.

Okay I directly linked to Best Buy's website version of the ad where you can actually scroll through some of the items to see more, like games/movies. Oops.

Ooooh. Might do that one then. And I don't expect Meijer to be too crazy either. Is it online too?

You are probably not going to find Fire Emblem: Awakening anywhere. It seems like it is basically out of print so stores probably have very little copies left.

As for the others, you may just want to do Target's Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale currently.

Awesome, looking at it now. Seems like there's a good chance that they'll be online as well.

Hmm tempted by that Best Buy 3DS deal. Wonder if we'll see a better deal from any of the other stores though or if I should just wait to pull the trigger when the. Ew models come next year. Decisions, decisions.

Manufacturers still make 720p TV sets?
Here is a pretty detailed review for that Panasonic TV. Seems like a low end TV which is not a surprise given the price.

That $299 Surface 2 deal looked good until you realize that it isn't the pro model and has a Tegra 4. Lots people are going to be upset over purchasing that device.

I might still go for it. I dunno. I'll probably go check it out in store and see what I think. My TV right now is a 32" CRT so anything is an upgrade. And they reviewed the TV at a 500 pounds ($800) price point. It's probably worth it for $200.

Yeah I know how you feel, I have a westinghouse 32'' 720p set so I have been looking for an upgrade for a while now.

If there is a set that is better but comes at a higher cost I can live with that. The big problem for me though is that I have no real way of getting a 50'' set home.

Has PlayStation+ been shown as a deal anywhere yet?
Keep your eyes on blog updates.

I'd really like to get my hands on some PSN Cash cards at a discount this year.

You guys ever heard of anything like that, or am I just wasting my time?

This deal seems too good to be true. Is this TV probably shitty? I see that Panasonic has very good ratings generally.

For that size and price, considering it's a Panasonic? It can't be THAT bad. I'd do this in a heartbeat, but it's not worth camping out on Tuesday, and that's what it's gonna take.

You guys exaggerate what it takes to get these door busters. You can probably camp out 3-4 hours before and still get it.

Bullshit. The Best Buy near me had people line up 24 hours before the sale last year. And not just a few people, over 50!

I'd rather just buy the TV model I wanted on a regular sale and not ruin Thanksgiving.
