The dub is good, the Japanese version is only good for the funny Engrish scenes in S2. With that said Toonami is DEFINITELY stepping its game up, wonder if they'll air Roberta's Blood Trail, I've yet to even watch it.

I only ever saw five or so episodes and just the dub, but I always wondered, did the original script have all the swearing or was it added for the English translation? It struck me like Killzone 2, written by a 10-year-old who thinks it's really cool to say "fuck" a lot when their parents aren't around.

Aside from that being awkward the show seemed pretty cool, excited to see more.

You don't watch a lot of subs, do you? I can understand prefering dub, but people who watch a lot of subs really have no problem with looking at action and animation despite reading the lines.

I watch a fair amount of subs and I still struggle with that at times when it comes to anime. It's not like watching a live-action movie subbed. The characters are not bound by human limitations in action scenes, and they tend to monologue during their frantic fight scenes. I'm putting Kill la Kill on hold after watching 7 episodes for this very reason.
Also because I don't like it that much.

Revy is extremely foul mouthed. I own all the localized manga and loosely translating to english, Revy bursts out this at one point "you goddamn pus filled cunt of a whores ass". She's very creative with her curses.

I just rewatched part of the series... i forgot how fucked up some arcs were. There's really no point in bleeping a few fucks if they are going to show all the rest.

I just finished watching Space Battleship Yamato 2199, actually.

But I don't know what qualifies as a lot. Probably not, since I probably watch about an anime a year these days.

There are exceptions to every rule, but if I want to read along with pictures I'll read a manga.

The English DUB was terrible.

It sounded like the reordered it in some hallway.
The English voices were ok its just the quality sucked for some reason.

The series was pretty stupid fun, Second Barrage wasn't as good as the first series though. As for Roberta's Blood Trail, I bought it but haven't watched it yet.

I'll add this now that I'm making my way through the show and just finished the first Blu-ray disc. Episode 1 and 2 do a good job of integrating "Rokuro Okajima, Rokuro Okajima,"...Rock into the crew and showing us cool action bits. The 3rd episode however felt redundant and too similar to the previous episode. Episode 4 through 8 completely held my interest and boosted my feelings towards this show. These last bunch are when they start to hit on what makes Revy tick, and what her problems are. This pirate crew grew by one member with the addition of Rock and the story starts to weave in elements of how such a radical difference in background and ideals affects Revy the way it does and how they conduct their entire business dealings.

I can't take anyone serious that believes this dub is bad.

It's quite good.

So is the show.

Definitely worth watching and definitely worth buying on Blu Ray.

Wonder why AS hasn't gotten Inuyasha final season, then again I remember them saying that the female audience isn't their main focus point.
