Bleach fo GC announced

Seriously, though, this is great news. I just wish all these great anime licensed games would hit the US (Namely the other One Piece games and Naruto 1-3).

Thankyou! I would love to understand wtf they are saying in my imported One Piece Treasure Battle and Nartuo 2 games. Didn't they announce Naruto 4 already though? They should just bring that one over when the TV show airs on CN.
 
Is this a fighting game by Eighting like the PSP game though? They couldn't do a console version for Sega, could they? That was a Bandai published game.
 
Hopefully it's a port of the PSP games with a few more characters added. It'll be cool to actually play that game against real people now ^^;

*edit* nm, considering it's by Sega I guess it has nothing to do with those fighters :( I hope the GC one doesn't end up as a shitty anime fighter considering the PSP ones actually had a decent engine.
 
Actually on 2nd thought is there even the slightest chance Sega may be smart and put one of their 'real' fighting game teams on this to make a high quality fighter at least up to par with stuff like Fighting Vipers?

i'd love to see an original fighter from Sega -- it's been forever. A sequel to Last Bronx is way overdue.

^^^ Okay you're a company with a SHITLOAD of old NES/SNES/N64 games, and you can release them at next to NO cost on a new console, and make a few quid.

Now have Nintendo no position?
Do you know what the Rev is, to know NIntendo have no position?

That makes absolutely no sense. A title on Rev is much more valuable than a title on GC at this stage in its lifetime. GC is on the way out and extra support, particularly exclusives, won't really mean much now.

So come on thenÂ… why are all these GC titles suddenly being announced? What possible reason could there be for it at this stage in the game?
 
Stop talking about Revolution. You are ruining a thread to talk about Bleach (which is awesome) getting a real one on one fighter on a console (which is awesome).

Because they started development when the GC was actually selling well and are just finishing now? :) I reckon Gundam Gatchapon Wars has been in dev for a while actually. Nintendo and Beck have been co-developing it, so it's probably been a long project going back and forth all the time like Chibi Robo.

Bleach is probably just going for the Naruto crowd while the anime is still hot.

that's what i was thinking. they developed the naruto fighters for gc, so this could be a relatively easy development for them.

But it's being made by Sega. Eighting has worked with Bandai and Sony, companies known for giving their various projects to many teams. Sega tends to do things with their own people.

Eighting's also done work for Tomy, Namco, Konami, Hudson (who partially owns them iirc) and Nintendo. I could easily see a deal with Sega, especially given their incredible success with Naruto on the platform.

Er... "their own people" like Treasure, Shade or Tose? Sega outsources just as much as any of the major JP publishers.
