I said this in previous Bloodborne threads. I have a feeling many people are going to be asking this as the hype for this game is masking the fact that it's got a high barrier of entry.

You won't be a virgin in any capacity much longer after this game gets its hands on you. I still am having trouble sitting and I have beaten all 3 Souls games. Coming in fresh might not be bad though, since you won't have to unlearn habits from the Souls games.

you mean the starter weapons? you can buy those once you can level up.

I just realized this is the TOP game on Twitch.

Higher than LoL.

Holy shit.

To be fair, it's only higher than LoL and Dota because It's the middle of the night in most places and ManVsGame and Summ1t are both playing BB at this moment and they have really high viewer count when they play games. I do expect BB to be pretty high for a while on twitch though. The DS games were always pretty popular and seeing how this seems to be better and is easier to stream thanks to the PS4 it should have a high amount of viewers for a while.

Jesus Christ....this is embarrassing but I CANNOT get past these two wolves on the bridge in the first section. I've been at it for like 4 hours, and since I can't level up yet it's getting super rough playing through this same area over and over. Can anyone help?

I tried a torch because a note said they hate fire, but that didn't seem to do anything but get me killed. Molotovs didn't do that much damage either.

Pro tip: you don't have to kill the first boss to level just start the battle run past all enemies... Hopefully you unlocked the shortcut... Die from the boss and the doll lady is their in the dream.... Now just level by killing the easy enemies a few levels in str or dex and you should be good...

Wow, just had to check this. I don't often go on Twitch so maybe it's nothing special but I've never seen LOL and DOTA topped by a console game, and Bloodborne is exclusive to one platform also. I think I really will get this game, it just seems too awesome.

It autosaves every so often yes.

There's a table in the house inside Hunter's Dream. You can use it to upgrade your weapon.

Greatest game ever. My brother and I had our TVs sitting next to eachother as we dug in for about 6 hours tonight. I was so proud to beat the Cleric Beast on my first try, and even screenshotted how fucking close that got:

I think you're gonna come around to them once you try them. They will definitely add lots of replayablity and will probably get some people Diablo levels of hooked.

There are some trophies tied to the chalice dungeons...and some awesome gear.

I'm not gonna lie, I will do them all, but randomly generated things are not my cup of tea even if I can enjoy games that use it. Purposely crafted worlds are, and that was one of the major things that I loved about the Souls games.

EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out you have to select them on the arms. Btw I was beating the shit out of that wolf with my fists.

ok I beat the first two bosses now. here's my tips for both.

1)

cleric beast. don't get too caught up in parrying him, it's (I believe) hard to parry him, but it's not hard to just fight him. just dodge and fight. pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

2)

father werewolf. DO parry him. he's very easy to parry. once he gets to his werewolf form, just stay sharp and dodge and work him down the rest of the way.

For second boss:

To distract, try pebbles.
For crowd control, buy the cane and use the whip mode.
