Electricity mace that charges up with L1 = AWESOME

I'm about to farm 40.000 souls at the cathedral area for this babe. Beat the first two bosses. You think I should farm or get my souls a bit more 'naturally'?

Because while souls go up pretty fast when you go up the stairs, the enemies are pretty tough.

Eh, I like to get the souls naturally. Grinding always sucks the joy. Don't feel like you're in any rush. It's a good weapon, but it's worth waiting for :)

Fuck yeah, finally took down Father G. Molotov for days during his third form

How many times did you try? At this point i think im going to do the same. I tried at least 10 times yesterday without luck. During the last phase hes simply too quick or i am getting to old for this shit.

That shouldn't be it since it says arcane scaling at at B rank currently.

I don't think the level up screen shows the magic damage of your weapon properly. I'm using a B scaling weapon myself and if I level arcane and then check the weapon after, I see it went up (usually only a point of damage, but that's because the base damage is kinda low to begin with)

Well, I got to the 2nd layer of the first chalice dungeon. I got to the second boss.
I noped out of there with a mark when I saw it was 3 bosses in one.

Yharnam Hunter armor set. Theres a hat that I took off to take the picture. I don't remember how I got it exactly, I just went to the bath place and it was there to purchase. Pretty cheap to if I recall. I've since found two other armor sets I don't find worthwhile to replace what I have on.
I have that set. (And I think I'm still wearing that chest piece?) Weird. Don't remember it looking like that. I wonder if it's sex-dependent.

Yeah, that boss sucks. You can cheese it if you have the cane whip though.
They won't go downstairs, so you can stand behind the pillar at the top of the stairs and whittle down their health.

How I killed Cleric Beast

Two words for ya,

Molotov Cocktails... lol. This was probably around my 22nd attempt, it took me way too long to figure out you simply cannot beat this guy unless you are fully stocked up on bullets, mollies and pots.

If you've got oil, use that combined with a mollie for ludicrous dmg, sadly I used it all in an earlier fight with him.

Don't mess with my dude, he's seen some shit.

Great work on this. He looks fantastic.

This is what I did, for anybody else having trouble. It glitches towards the end but I got him almost dead before that. He didn't transform until about 30% health left. I didn't even have any molotov's when I went in lol

I don't think I ever put it on. Silly me. I'm rocking the superior Charred Hunter Garb, anyhow.
Now that set I do not have yet lol, maybe soon.

Thanks, was the best haircut/beard combo I could find in the game. And who can pass up those badass shades.

22nd attempt? I'm not looking forward to facing him even more now....

I don't know why, but I'm having a hard time getting used to BB's more aggressive gameplay. Died so many times to weak enemies. I guess I'm too used to constantly using shields on PvE in Soul series.

Ugh, got him down. Apparently his one weakness is
dodging forward
. I'm fucking retarded.

Edit:

Pretty easy boss actually. Here's a hint that will make your fight against it (and lots of other enemies) much easier: Dodge diagonally to the right towards it, DO NOT dodge backwards. It will keep missing that way and you can get one or two easy hits in in the back.
The first two phases of the fight should be easy this way, the third is what's actually challenging. Remember to equip gear that gives you resistance against slow poison and keep antidotes ready. You can try and use one of the items that envelopes your weapon with fire (I'm blanking on the name right now) on the third phase since it's hard to get in hits so you want to make those hits count.

Just saw this. Yeah, I ended up figuring that out actually. Good to know so many other enemies can't defeat the ol' right turn.

Couple of questions. What on earth is a '
frenzy
'? Also. The Madmans Knowledge. Gains you insight. What exactly does insight do?

Once you get 10 you can see a new NPC that sells the bells that let you assist people or invade them (1 insight each, unlimited uses), as well as selling armor and I think some other items.

Man, Dark Beast Paal is kinda ok, not exactly a threat if you just roll underneath him all the time and whack it. Although I died once to him, I went back to the refuge, buy lightning resistant armor from the insight merchant, went back and proceeded to bitchslap it's ass.

Any tip on the 3rd Boss?
i'm ok till he start poison me with his attacks
.

For me,
hanging back on his third form was a death sentence. Once he gets the advantage, having you constantly heal and antidote you will be dead soon enough and lowered on provisions. Try to parry his attack and heal with blood by goin in hard. Avoid that grab too.

You can cheese that boss by standing on the stairs as long as you have a long weapon like the axe. Stand on one side and one of them will try to hit you from the edge. Then you can do a heavy attack and do a good amount of damage. Repeat this until dead. Sometimes they fall off the stairs and will try to hit you so be careful of that. They will never go down the stairs though.

Dang did I miss an NPC interaction? (post-4th boss spoilers)

Eileen the Crow. I've beaten Amelia and now it's all dark and I can't find Eileen at the sewer entrance.

My first playthrough is strictly without summons and it is incredible how satisfying it is to kill stuff solo. The first two hours I just kept dying over and over (probably lost 20k souls), but then I got to the first boss and simply downed him in the first attempt.

After I got the second boss yesterday on like the 7th attempt without
using the tiny music box, molotovs or by dropping down to the platform
I just kept bouncing up and down in joy and decided to end the night with my glorious victory.

The game is 'effin amazing. GOTY for me thus far.

Wow, after the 4th boss, I went the "wrong way" and ended up in the
forbidden woods
. I did so good I got up to the boss but didn't face it. J Had So Much Xp I Had To Spend lol. I'm going the "right way" now
