I know this is a running thing with Souls, katanas = scrub etc. But I've never understood why.
I've been a rapier user since Demon's and I don't intend to stop now.
Caestus master race requires both peanut butter and chocolate.

Still much better than having to read "couldn't take the item" every time you try to loot something like in the alpha.
Probably because katanas are always some of the best weapons in the game and highly overused.

There weren't any extended FAQs or Wikis during the first week of Dark Souls 1&2. Plenty of people finished those games before everything was just a click away. Main reason one existed for Demon's is simply due to the Western release delay.
Isn't DarkSydeFail fail a bit redundant?
Much of the information was already out there though. It was either written in Japanese, or you had to simply watch someone in Japan playing it. Just saying that the Wikis for the games that came after were out much sooner in English due to the release date and how many people were actually playing them.

There was no wiki for DeSo either until a few of us started it after a few weeks. There was no indication it was being released in the West until the summer of 09 when Atlus picked it up.
So this is definitely a new experience for many players that didn't import DeSo.

No. Dark Souls was too hard for me.
I would say it's a tad easier than Dark Souls. Kind of a wash, really. It's harder than Demon's Souls, which I think is the easiest of them all. DS2 has a fucking wonky ass difficulty curve so it's hard to say where it'd fit there.

Guys i'm thinking about cancelling my collectors edition and getting a pair of pulse headphones instead. I've never gamed with a decent set of headphones, do they make that much of a difference? Like £75 difference?

Still give it a shot. Back in the day, demons souls was too hard for me. But I was really excited about dark souls, so I went for it. And the second time around it clicked. Then later I went back to demons souls with the skills I had learned and it was great.
The skills in bloodborne may not transfer as well. But it might just click this time around
Dunno about pulse headphones but nice headphones make a huge difference.

I thought they sucked in DS2? At least I think I remember reading that very early on, I guess they got buffed?
Slash damage just kind of sucked in DS2, but katanas weren't specifically bad.
I read that a lot, but as someone who made a dual katana character at first and then only after a couple of NG+ playthroughs made a strike character, I tend to think the opposite (katanas were fine, maces were the ones that were overpowered).
The game was already too easy (especially bosses) with katanas, but with strike weapons it's just stupid.

Buffed washing pole and chaos blade were both pretty OP early on. I can't really recall all the patches but most katanas in DS2 are still pretty much top tier. And to clarify, I'm talking about PVP.
I will upload them to mega then if that is fine for everyone. Fast download speeds etc. and as far as I remember 1 hour gameplay are about 3-4gb very good quality. I also won't talk or will have my webcam on so that everybody can really appreciate it.
First video will get uploaded in exactly 24 hours! Will get my copy tomorrow morning cause of work.

Can somebody please give an opinion on the AA? Has it improved from the previews? What's the view on the visuals? Got it on pre-order due to GAF hype (first time I've fallen for such hype).
If you mean playing online then no, cause the servers aren't up yet.
I don't think the servers are up yet for online play but the patches are.
