BLOODBORNE Spoiler Thread (read OP)

anyone know what to do against the
electric beast boss

Looks like you did something to get rid of his electricity, which made him vulnerable for a short bit. His legs seem too skinny to target, so when you are underneath him, try locking on to his head and hitting it from under/behind.

easily one of the hardest bosses ive fought in any game. My attacks just wont hit the hind legs at all. Would love the ability to target the legs

My mom and pop came through! I've been playing for the past two hours, and I a very early game question:

How do I level up stats? I'm assuming I need to do something with the doll, but I'm wondering if I missed something obvious, or it will be apparent the more I play?

Also... it is amazing so far.

You mean like when people first played Dark Souls?

Yeah holy shit people's memories can't seem to hold more than 2 years worth memories. Streamers don't know shit right now and that's alright, they can't possibly figure out the secrets of the game and not accidentally fuck up shit.

Well, everyone doesn't get lucky!

You have to challenge the first boss first. When you die, you'll have the ability to level in Hunter's Dream

You need to reach the first boss, you don't have to beat it, but once you reach it you get to level up

When you die,
you go to the hub and then back out? 2 loads per death?

You start at the last checkpoint you were at, which would be the lamp-posts, which allow you to go to the hub. From the hub you can visit any previously unlocked checkpoint

Alright so other than these insane load times, the game is very fun. I prefer the look and feel of DS to what I've played so far but its still good.

These load times though. Oh my god these load times.

Are you fighting him in-game or chalice dungeon?

If in-game you are probably severely underleveled to be taking him on considering how you got there.

What helped me is to
use R2 attacks to remove his electricity, and while he charges up go ham crazy. Rinse repeat.

wait guys...
I just killed the doll on accident and now its dead. I can still upgrade but its dead....

Did i screw up?

How could you kill our new waifu like that? Monster!

Can anyone list the names of the bosses he fought so far? Wingman/Mobius. Just trying to get an idea of how much there is.

There are bosses with trophies are already leaked. And their are more bosses without trophies just like dark souls but nobody so far has given a solid number.

I played ds2 I loved dual weilding and dodging. I plan to start with cleaver and shotgun. I'm not familiar with other weapons in the game. I know I want to be fast and agile. Any suggestions on which starting origins gaf has for me. I don't care for heavy/slow weapons. Thanks in advance.

That's why I asked what he killed so far.

am I wrong or mobius hasn't found any magic at all? And he's pretty far into the game at this point.
I knew that there weren't as many spells as in the other games but come on.

Or starting character stats? Any attribute I should try to max out early?
depends on the build that you want to do, usually focusing on vitaly, endurance and another stat works.

Oh boy! The game's already available here in Peru. I think I'll get it during the weekend.
so many stores breaking the d1, so fucking stupid.

Another early game question:

What happens when you loot a body and it has items you can't carry? Are they just gone forever? It's kind of crazy how looting works in that case... say I have 20/20 health and no bullets. I could potentially waste every corpse I loot if it has health and I may need it later. Is there any way to tell what is on a corpse before looting?

is that the only place you can level up at?

because if so, i'm guessing you're 100% boned and are going to have to start a new game unless you want to play the rest of the game without leveling (which is still possible, but could be brutal)

really though, i don't know too much about the game so i don't know either way. i think Dark Souls 2 had a mechanic to revive dead NPCs, so maybe Bloodborne has something like that too?

if you do end up having to start over, the good thing is that you'll probably be able to get back to where you were in a fraction of the time

that boss on the mobius stream was lame as hell, wow. and whats up with that chat?

Unfortunately a bunch of the bosses he's fought have kinda sucked. They look cool, but the AI behind them and the mechanics of the fights leave a lot to be desired.

If I were him, I'd quit the game, download the cloud save for BB and replace the local save in order to get her back.

the are from that part of 4chan and are aware that gaf user are watching, so they mostly repeat their jokes.

I can't believe Mobius actually thinks their jokes are funny. Maybe he's just pretending to. It's like a bunch of 10 year olds who just discovered swearing.

It automatically goes into storage. You can have 99 of vials/bullets I think.

It sounds like a lot but when you repeatedly die to a boss, you'll realize it's not enough.
