They didn't
Looking at 2018, why are WB putting out 1 DCEU film when they're effectively guaranteed money makers regardless of quality? Marvel has 3 on slate.
Where do you think it ends up?
Comic Con is soon. Zemeckis and Vaughn are still in talks. At one point The Flash was supposed to be released in 2018.
6 months into 2017 they haven't even announced a director for it.

Hard to say. Wonder Woman is facing bigger openers in the next 3 weeks than it did in its first three. Probably $375-400M. I'm leaning towards something in the middle of that I think.
Overseas dropped 49% for Wonder Woman to $652M total worldwide. Gitesh thinks $800M+, but I think that is being too optimistic. There were a few minor openings again this weekend, so the actual international drop was somewhere over 50%. I don't see how overseas does another $70-80M on a $20M weekend. Especially some gigantic openers coming up.
EDIT: Japan is still to open, but it's best to just assume the worst in Japan for superhero films. WW has a pretty good shot at beating Deadpool though.
Well I mean, obviously they only have one expected to be made by then...but why? Why did they plan 1 for the whole year?
I can't wait to read all the "superhero bubble" posts... again.2018 is gonna have a whopping 8 superhero movies, 7 of them based on Marvel properties.
It's gonna be a difficult time for some people.
They originally had plans for two or three 2018 movies. Flash and Aquaman were definitely coming and it looked like The Batman was as well. But DC decided it was better to have no movies rather than shit ones so they're spending this year retooling things.
The only problem with that is now they have a shit ton of movies on the slate and no where to put them all.
Movies that are being worked on, if all the rumors are to be believed:
The Batman (trilogy?)
Flash
Green Lantern Corps
Gotham City Sirens
Suicide Squad 2
Batgirl
Nightwing
Man of Steel 2
Wonder Woman 2
Shazam and/or Black Adam
Justice League Dark
Cyborg
Assuming JL does well this fall I think at least another one of those is in the cards. The original plan was to have most of those out by 2020, but that's impossible now.

Hope Baby Driver/Homecoming/Apes won't kill WW's late legs

Only a 57% drop for 47M? Lol i expected 80%
I'm glad they're taking their time. The DCEU will make billions for them once it's in full gear but imagine what the previous movies could have made with WW's legs. They could have written Suicide Squad 2 or Sirens in 6 weeks and gone into production quickly but I think they learned their lesson. Well, I hope so at least.
Actually a 34% drop. I forgot to erase the Friday drop
There will be big announces at SDCC this year for DC titles !
I want a plan for 2019-2021 with release dates
I really hope Umberto Gonzales is right, because I don't want WB to wait for JL's reactions before deciding/announcing their plan (especially for The Flash, Cyborg standalones)
Which Friday the 13th?Biggest second weekend drops of all time for films released in 2000+ venues
1) Ooogieloves - 90.1%
2) Collide - 88.5% (this happened this year, but no one cared)
3) Gigli - 81.9%
4) Friday the 13th - 80.4%
5) All Eyez on Me - 78.0%
Which Friday the 13th?

Disagree. I liked it very much. The Bay-produced remake, and it was a well deserved drop
Transformers 5 is wielding a sharper sword overseas, where it earned $196.2 million from its first 40 markets — including $123.4 million in China alone — for a global start of $265.3 million.

Totally forgot about Fantastic Beasts next year, when does it go into production?

Official weekend estimate for Transformers is $45.3M OW/$69M 5-day total
Yeah, 5 will likely break the trend of Bayformers making a billion. I don't see any way that holds internationally, and you're not seeing a big weekly increase in the US, especially with DM3/Baby Driver/Spider-Man/Apes coming soon

And WW officially has the highest grossing DCCU movie, domestically speaking, correct?
Also, holy shit at that 4th week drop...I haven't seent holds like that since...since...
