Having watched the ACTUAL thing this time, I'm left confused.

I'm a fan of the anime and the games. I wish I knew how to respond to this. Possibly that's Max, or Ma-0 or something. I guess the game will be the gritty story of MA-0. ...

Ma-0 was the first robot made by Mechadoc based off of Mighty Bomber's body/brain after he was killed.
Max was the final version. Ma-o was thrown to the side because he developed compassion, something that was fixed 10 versions later. (Yes, there's Ma-1 through 9 somewhere.)

I'm guessing that because it's a robot and the name of the game is Act: ZERO that's it's Ma-0. (Nickname: Zero)
