I'm not watching, but memles pointed out on Twitter that they're using still photos instead of vid clips from the episodes to save money on Talking Bad. AMC doing their thing.

They also had Vince Gilligan describing something from the next episode rather than actually playing a sneak peek clip. Talking Bad was crappy.

Hopefully the Breaking Bad Insider podcast goes up soon.

Amirox- I was with you until you said that you can't want Walt to win unless somethings wrong with you. I can see that he's a horrible person, but part of me wants him to win. Have you never wanted a villain to win before?

Calling Walt a "villain" like he's fucking sabretooth or something is a bit silly. This show has never framed him as anything that cartoonish.

It's gone through great lengths to show the human thought processes behind his actions. Wanting him to "win" like he was fuckin Hans Gruber or something (so fun and charismatic! The Bon mots! He's the one who knocks guyssss!!!), I just don't get it.

Sometimes I feel like me and Ami are the ones watching this show "properly" lofl

By the way, guys... I don't know how you can watch an episode like Breaking Bad with so much advertising. It kinda of takes off a bit of the flow. It was the first time I watched a live episode on american television.

Watch the show when it's on, look at GAF reaction during the commercials.

Where do you rank Jesse selling meth in rehab and kicking his own friends off the wagon?

Quite bad but still somewhere below multiple homicide/intentional poisoning/gross negligence resulting in death. Walt also conveys no remorse to speak of for his actions, while Jesse is tearing himself apart.

Honesty i wouldn't mind a Shield'esq ending.

I'll wrap a spoiler tag around this whole thing so it doesn't spoil The Shield for anyone.
Like The Shield ending, i want Walter to get away with it all. Rather it be as a free man that can't go to prison for his crimes or that he has to run for the rest of his life but instead of his family living i want them to die. Why? Because this whole thing started to take care of his family, much like the shield. Everything was for them, they are the only people he cares about to kill them all off and force him to have to live with that for the rest of his life is a perfect ending to me. You can't get more perfect than him having to live and deal with the fact that its his fault for his families death. Everything he did was for nothing

That would be the only truly satisfying ending for me. Killing him off is boring and highly unoriginal. I would rather them take a more creative approach. What? Have his son kill him? Wife? Hank? snooze. Cancer? Oh, how ironic would that be *eyeroll*. Maybe i just expect more and that's fine because at the end of the day nobody will truly be happy with how these final 8 episodes go. It's Sopranos all over again. You can kill him, let him live or turn to black because no matter what way you go there will be a million people completely shitting on the ending and i hope they nail the perfect finale. It's almost impossible to do and to me only 2 shows did it right. The Shield and Six Feet Under.

The prognosis for lung cancer of all forms is extremely dour. Walt was always going to die relatively quickly, with or without treatment (I believe the doc originally gave him two years with treatment). The only question was just how much damage to others he'd cause up to that point, and as we've seen throughout the series and in the flash-forward, the answer is clearly "extreme damage."

Walt will die, and he will die alone; there's little doubt about that. If he does live beyond the series' end, it certainly won't be for very long. The number of people he takes with him along the way remains to be seen.

I'm just wondering, if the Hank/Walt confro we've been waiting so long for not only delivered but surpassed all possible expectations, HOW GOOD IS THE WALT/JESSE CONFRO GOING TO BE?!?!?!

WTFFFFFFFFF

Walt is a villain protagonist.

never really understand why some people want the villain protagonist to lose. It much more fun when they win but lose everything they love in the process.

Sorta the same thing. It's the reason why some would rather want someone to suffer throughout their life rather than just killing them right away.

what
just because he's out means he shouldn't suffer any consequences of his actions? especially everything hank had to endure from his hand?

everyone in the game he was in were criminals and have done bad things yet still were likable, the crimes these people commit including mike, jesse, gus, etc. are all necessary steps for their survival, you don't survive in that life by being an honest citizen, you don't enter that game and expect to be safe and dandy

he turned to that life for money for his family and for himself and also to fulfill a bucket list, and yeah he got greedy as hell, but in this episode it shows that he has honestly realized that he no longer needs to be a kingpin thanks to skylar in the previous episode, he has willingly abandoned his heisenberg persona

but now hank is demanding heisenberg to resurrect

oh no, we got a crew. maharg always been a true original G with Breaking Bad, knows what's up. faceless007 also knows what's up for sure.

Ack, anyway, I gotta head to sleep before I get none lol

I am conflicted.

People keep saying that Walt needs to pay, and to a point, I agree.

But he's already got cancer. I'm not sure if he's lying about it coming back terminally or not, but what else can he lose? All he's got is his family, and I know there's some pretty diehard #TeamSkyler people here. It wouldn't be fair for her to die for Walt to get his comeuppance, is it? Walt Jr? Holly?

Honestly, I kinda wish the show would just end peacefully, but there's no way that's going to happen. I think Hank put his foot in it, and he's not gonna make it to the end.

Has to be
Lydia.

Based off the tease Vince gave and if they are having a secret cast member guest...yeah, I'd go with this. He said the next episode is about the pieces in motion that Lydia was talking about going haywire. She is going to keep getting pressured because of the quality drop.

Thoughts on "Future Walt" and the
ricin:

Walt told Hank that due to cancer he's a "dead man", and will "never see the inside of a prison cell".

What if Walt intends to use the ricin on himself? So he dies of "natural causes"?

SPECULATION for Future Walt scene.
Yes, I'm in the same crowd that thinks he'll use it on himself.

It was a lil bit boring this episode, but still very interesting.
I was expecting it to move along faster after all that talk but then again, GREAT first scene and GREAT last scene :D

Stop tagging speculation unless it involves the preview. Just mucks things up.

I don't know why people always do that. So presumptuous :P

I'm glad they got the Hank and Walt discovery out of the way but at the same time you know they did that quick because they need to cover a lot in 8 ep! I hope the rest of the season isn't too rushed.

As much as I hate to say it, I think that one person Vince mentioned at the end of Talking Bad is gonna be killed next episode ;_; hope Skyler follows soon after.

I really don't think that Walt will be using that ricin on himself, Walt isnt the kind of person to kill himself. If he does it will be in a shootout with police where he can at least believe just a little that he has a chance of coming out alive, Walt has always been a fighter. Remember the very first episode? When he thought those cop cars were coming for him, what did he do? He made a quick video for his family and pulled out a pistol, ready to engage the cops in a shootout to the death.

What intrigues me about the ricin and the machine gun is the fact that we know at this point Walter has been found out. Ricin to kill someone in a stealthily fashion so that perhaps no one knows he was poisoned, or used on someone not suspecting it. But considering everyone knows who Walt is who could he be possibly trying to kill?

It's sad what AMC has become at this point. I understand that they're a business obligated to try and make a profit, but the corners that they're cutting are absurd. At least we got two great shows out of them before they went public and started up with these antics.

I love how Walt's speech at the end has you wondering, is he still pretending he's innocent or not? Then his last line answers it all.

oh that remind me was low winter sun any good?

I really hope not beacause I want to be done with this pos channel when Breaking Bad and Mad Men are done

He tried killing himself in the pilot :p
