If anything that's a great reason to watch. I give it 20 games before Kobe either pulls a Sprewell or Brown just completely gives up and lets him be a player/coach.

What's going to happen with a few of the NBA players playing in China now? I was hoping to seeing some NBA players play. I know Kmart is here and watched Stephon Marbury take Yi out of the game, looked like a pretty serious injury.

I think they have to stay there because they didn't have a clause that would let them leave once the season was back on.

They have to stay there until their season ends, it's a rule over there. I think it ends in March or around that time, I forget exactly.

Mike Brown doesnt bother me all that much tbh. It doesn't matter wtf he does if we dont have someone (anyone) other than Fish manning the point.

Did not know this. lol

Yeah I saw it on sportscenter when the rumors of Kobe and other big players playing in China were circulating. There's no way any superstar was going to risk missing half or most of a season, even if it was reduced. I mean some players have to go there because they suck but I don't know why someone like JR Smith went, he was going to be wanted over here somewhere when the season came back. And now he went ahead and got himself injured.

Lockout season baby, GO SPURS GO

a shortened season, just what my Spurs needed

Too bad last season proved they're not winning shit again. As much as I love duncan, his time has past and was clearly evident in last season.

Why both those teams?

Always loved both since I was in kindergarten. Raps, because I'm from Toronto, and the bulls because MJ was pretty much the only bball player I knew back then. Him and Damon Stodemire.

it would also be nice if that P.O.S. coach named Pop would play our 7ft center and not start 6ft 7inch guys at C

I'll bump this thread in 2 months with a gif of Mike Brown walking around and his assistant drawing up a play.

LOL!

I sat courtside at the Q during the Mike Brown "era." My personal favorite is when he drew up plays during tv timeouts and Lebron would have this "really asshole, really?" look on his face.

Priceless.

Edit:

As an Aussie, this situation intrigues me. The players are in dispute with the AFL right now over pay, but I can't imagine it ever getting to a strike/lockout stage.

glad about the news... coming home to no NBA on the TV burns the soul.

but now we gotta see Mike Brown in action... and how Kobe handles someone other than phil jackson coaching him. I hope they work together to get that 6th ring... laker nation needs it... especially how they fizzled to the mavs this year.

so embarrassing

this will almost def be the last (good) season of pierce/garnett/allen working together...hopefully we can pull it off.
