Hold on, why are all the remain camp rolling out the same crap....we have to realise 49 percent of people have voted to not leave, and we have to think of them....

So,if they won by 2 percent would they be sayin 49 percent of people want to leave the eu so we have to think of them.......would they bollocks

It's what people on either side of the fence thinks about these people. Leave voters basically trust no one.

At this point you might as well let UK burn to the ground to serve as an example. Fucking people, man.

Thanks for the clarification, that's certainly is a bit disconcerting.

Jesus Britain. Condolences. This is going to make your racist right wingers very bloody bold if nothing else. I just can't understand the rationale for leaving. Good luck all.

Please do not let me serve on a jury. I am actually a crazy person.

Yeah, GBP:JPY lost 18% in seven hours.

Brexit makes a united Ireland more likely that ever though, I'm sure the rest of the UK would actually be quite happy to see the back of us, as we cost significantly more than we give back. :/

I dunno, this whole thing from my perspective in Belfast, it seems like nobody has a clue how it will work for us. Any question about the border is met with "err well we don't know really. Hopefully we can sort that out."

The UK / Republic open border & Common Travel Area agreements are not related to the EU.

There is zero chance of watch towers or checkpoints coming back. In large part incidentally because the people were trusted in a direct vote just like this one.

Nonsense. This will surely have economic and political repercussions, but it's not the end of the UK, it's not the end of the EU, it's not the end of the world.

Now, if Trump wins, then we're talking. Until then? Nah.

NI and Scotland will push to leave the UK. Wales and England don't make up very much of a United Kingdom.

I feel sick, hopefully the morons voting for leave have a plan to get us out of the financial quandary we're going to be/are quite possIbly already in.

Oh, and well done for giving Murdoch what he wants.

You guys who claim that this will have awful consequences, how do you explain that Switzerland does just fine?

I have no dog in this, I'm just asking.

The market hates uncertainty. That's actually why Switzerland has always done fine. They are predictable and dependable. This will create years of massive uncertainty. That's bad.

If you are a large company looking to invest anywhere in the EU, it's going to be prudent to just stand back until the dust settles. That means less investment, which means recession, which starts a very negative cycle.

Scotland and NI deserve to leave. Why should they tie themselves to the boneheaded decision by the fools in england and wales?

If it does happen, cameron will go down in history as the man who broke the united kingdom

AmericaGAF checking in.

How quickly can Scotland move to leave the UK?

Is there a way for London to leave the UK?

It's complicated because the SNP don't have a majority in the Scottish parliament and arguably don't have the mandate to trigger another Scottish referendum.

But there will be a new groundswell for independence by the general public here now and the SNP will be open to it.

I don't know how it happens. We might have to wait quite a while.

It could become less about politics and more about the legal status of Scotland and the EU. Do we have a right to remain part of it?

I think we can agree on one thing, whether you supported leave or remain. Seeing Nigel Farage delivering a victory speech is a dark day for the UK.
