Supposed album cover:

Could be fake... not entirely sure.

Bobby Brown must be psyched (if he is the song writer). He's poorer that dirt and I don't think Whitney lets him near her money. He was jailed here in Boston last year because he couldn't afford to pay child support.

Anyone remember his haircut from that video? The slanted high-top fade? I had that cut for a while. And no, I'm not posting pics.

Ok, that's it-- can anyone fill me in on the etymology of "boo-urns"? I laugh every time I see it, because it just sounds hysterical, but I'd really like to know when and how it became a GA catchphrase. :)

Burns: Smithers, are they booing me?
Smithers: Uh, no sir. They are saying, "Boo-Urns. Boo-Urns".
Burns: Are you saying "Boo" or "Boo-Urns"?
Crowd: BOOOO!!!
Moleman: I was saying "Boo-Urns".

It originated from an episode of The Simpsons called "A Star is Burns". There's a town meeting concerning Springfield's position of "least popular town in America" and Marge proposes an idea to have a film festival where Jay Sherman (Jon Lovitz) hosts as the critic. Burns makes an over-the-top production centering him as the Ben-Hur, Jesus, Cesar Chavez, E.T., and various other key-figures in history to which the audience gladly boos after the credits roll. Mr. Smithers covers up the taunting by informing Mr. Burns that they're actually saying "Boo... urns... Boo-urns!"

What's scarier than this song is the thought that in a matter of months this crap is gonna be played approx. 8000 times on the radio/MTV..

I seriously hope not. Who's requesting these songs anyway? I remember when her first single came out, Me Against the Music, and it hit number 1 on the local stations. My ears bled those weeks; extreme trash. You'd think that being a dancer herself, she'd come out to music you could at least dance to, but even my fellow dance mates shudder at the thought of having to perform to one of her recent songs. Slave 4 U was pretty decent, but after that it went downhill as far as 'dance-ability' of her music... and when that suffers, there's really nothing else to fall back on because the vocals are trash and the lyrics are child-like confessions of her growth to "un-woman-hood".

:lol Back when the running man was just coming into effect. Theo on Cosby Show had that cut as well. So did Will on Fresh Prince, though it wasn't quite as steep.

BTW, Don't Be Cruel = best Bobby Brown song ever. His duet with Ja Rule ranks high on the entertainment meter as well, for slightly different reasons (mainly for the video).

Bobby had a hightop fade, not a slanted one. I believe the first time the gumby made it into his video was Every Little Step.
