Bruce Springsteen at his best (feat. Tom Morello)

Yeah it's pretty great. Ghost of Tom Joad has been a staple of Rage concerts, and Tom throws in the Bulls on Parade solo there for good measure.

I don't think so, I can't find the passion shown here in the album version...
By this do you mean the original 1995 album version or the new album version from High Hopes that has Tom Morello on guitar? Both are really good, and so is this performance, of course. There were a lot of amazing stuff on that concert, actually. Springsteen also did Because The Night with U2 and Patti Smith, and U2 did a great version of Stuck in a Moment with Mick Jagger. Lou Reed did Sweet Jane with Metallica and it was pretty amusing, too.

Yeah I know both previous versions of the song, I was talking about the one with Tom. And you're right, the entire concert is amazing, but Ghost of Tom Joad is my favorite by far.

That was great, Tom Morello is a GOD!

Why does Silvio have such a small guitar?

I'll tell you one thing - Tom Morello can hold an Em for 3 minutes of a song like nobodies business.

Edit: Solos were pretty awesome, as advertised.

Second edit: To be fair to Tom, that guy is a fucking wizard with a Whammy pedal.

I think the cover by Rage is better. I don't like the monotone vocals in the original or early versus of this. It's a great song.

Oh snap! I gotta find that. With Patti Smith too?! I love that song so much

Have seen too few Springsteen live videos to know, but he's got some guitar chops for sure. I knew he played rhythm at concerts, but those solos from him were great too.

Springsteen often ends up on Best Guitarist lists. He's definitely good, but as a friend of mine says, "He's the third-best guitarist in his band!"
Springsteen (and the E Street Band) is by far the best live act you can see.
Absolutely. The band plays for hours, and nowadays is nothing like how long they played in the '70s and '80s.

I like this video, if only to see Bruce playing something other than his Tele (though my love of Telecasters was born from seeing him play one).

Been lucky enough to see Bruce Springsteen live the last 2 times he came to Australia <3

Damn he's still got the looks & moves for a 65 year old!
Hatin on Patti.

I always feel a bit sorry for the E-Street band. Bruce picks a number of songs from signs in the crowd, and they're expected to know them, but Bruce has a teleprompter which gives him the chords and the lyrics to those songs. The band has to actually remember the songs, on occasion having to have huddles to come up with an arrangement of a song they've not played in 30 odd years on the spot.
