Bulding a Gaming PC for under $650

Fucking 754 mobo.... Even though I linked you a goddamned $75 939 mobo, you go ahead with this nonsense.

YER ON YOUR OWN!

The videocard is a placeholder... read the thread. And I'm not impressed by either the PSU in your Sonata (Not a TrueWatt) or the case he's buying, but I definetely prefer his case over the Sonata. Yes, the Sonata is beautiful looking, but the ventilation in his is really nice.

Shog: Have you actually boughten that mobo? ECS isn't exactly known as being a top line of board maker. I know I wouldn't want one. And the fact there's not a single review from Newegg customers tells me not a lot of other people do either.

I'm kind of blah about the whole 754 thing. If I were building today and I could save enough money, I'd go this way unless convinced by a good reason otherwise. I'm not a person that's gonna upgrade his processor every 6 months. When I do an upgrade, it's gonna by far enough down the line that a new mobo is gonna be required anyways. Now if 939 is the mobo for the next 5 years, it's the way to go.

Edit: That said, I'd be tempted to spend the extra cash and get an SLI mobo. But then you need to get an PCI-E graphics card right at the start. And these are gonna push you way over the budget. Which is why it's best to wait, but if you can't wait, you can't wait :)
