server: irc.globalgamers.net
channel #gaf_sb
And for those too lazy to actually use an irc client. I think Blizzard said in the brawl thread this should work as well:
http://www.globalgamers.net/?p=webchat
use gaf_sb as the channel name.
And I hear of this chatzilla thing working as well in which to get to us you would type "/server irc.globalgamers.net" and then "/join #gaf_sb".
And this is a direct link to the web base version:
http://irc.netsplit.de/webchat/?net=GlobalGamers&room=#GAF_SB
just type in your nick and you're set.
Pretty sure you can get on through pidgin as well if you happen to use that already.
edit: Direct link url fixed to go straight to it.
I guess you missed the day it was ANNOUNCED?AugustDivision said:???
Toki Tori hasn't even been mentioned for a US release yet, technically. I don't understand why the blame falls on NoA? Also, the game has been out FOR A WEEK.
I can't believe how impatient you all are.
http://www.gamespot.com/news/6189071.html?sid=6189071&part=rss&subj=6189071Toki Tori will be Two Tribes' first venture into console development. The game is slated to launch alongside WiiWare on May 12, with European and Australian launches pending the launch of Nintendo's digital distribution service in those regions.
http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=18208While the game is readied for release with the American launch of the WiiWare service, Two Tribes says that the availability of the game across Europe and Australia "will depend on the roll-out of WiiWare in those territories."
http://www.siliconera.com/2008/04/10/toki-tori-hatches-for-na-wiiware-launch/When WiiWare comes out in North America on May 12th, a new installment of Toki Tori will be on the Wii Shopping Channel.
http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/52155The game will be made available on the WiiWare platform's North American launch, scheduled for a May 12 roll-out.
Alright alright..you got me. Everyone was wrong just like how it was announced a slew of other games would be available at launch that weren't. I will reiterate that patience is a good thing. I think you'll live.jj984jj said:I guess you missed the day it was ANNOUNCED?

So everyone was just fucking wrong?
Well that's exactly why I'm upset about it, this is obviously NoA's doing, they said them-selves that they want the US line-up to be more spread out compared to other regions. The game is already available in English, so I can't see why Two Tribes them-selves would hold it back.AugustDivision said:Alright alright..you got me. Is there like a release schedule for the DLC?SpoonyBard said:I spent some four hours playing FF:CC:MLAK last night... that game is pretty damn addictive, even though the gameplay may be repeatitive and there's not all that much to do... at least not at this stage.

Yeah, unlike puyo-puyo everything is about straight lines of like-colored blocks. It's OK to set a wrong colored pill on a virus as long as you do so with the intent of clearing it away later. Just build chains even if they're empty clears, and by that I mean always try to get a string of same-colored blocks to fall off the side... or both sides!Alaluef said:Sweet Marli, I suck too much at Dr. Mario! Never played it before and so much hype and positive things being said about the game made me get it as I love me some puzzle games, but I didn't know I would have my ass handed so easily by those viruses.
The problem is that I've been playing Puyo puyo clones for years now, and I'm having difficulties in shaking off the strategies I use in those because at first Dr. Mario seems slightly similar. No need to say that having a deep Puyo Puyo mindset is completely useless when playing this.
I've watched the tutorial and played some rounds, but as the speed went up I was like (∂_∂). I'll watch Soul Eater and try again later with a more open mind.
SpoonyBard said:No idea... I think the DLC features come up later on the game (I'm at chapter II, day 42 at the moment, if I remember correctly)
2) I can't find sword metal from this level 2 dungeon, even though my guys are > level 10. They flee or get their asses kicked and fail to complete the task...
1. I think he'll only say something different whhen an adventurer is in the building with you at the same time. Haven't tried it out though. The Battle skills building works that way, though.SpoonyBard said:Two strange things about the game:
1) The thief quild building - the guy keeps saying that I am the only customer, even though many of my adventurers visit that place every morning

Thanks for the tips. After that post I lowered the speed/level instead of starting on med/level 10 and now I'm being able to play it naturally.Hitokage said:Yeah, unlike puyo-puyo everything is about straight lines of like-colored blocks. Darn, that does look good, great cel shading. I'm not a fan of that anime in the slightest but that's gonna sell by the truck loads and unlike previous Harahuri games, actually appears to have gameplay!Scrubking said:And that quote about the Wii not being able to handle this game because of the CPU is crap. The Harahuri game is exactly the same thing (mimicing on screen motions), and it looks a million times better and has 3 or 4 player gameplay.

So I brought this up at the XGen Forums. Turns out the solution is just to click on SMB3W4 when viewing the credits. It's on the second or third page of Special Thanks.JoshuaJSlone said:Defend Your Castle tidbit. I was looking at the credits today and noticed SMB3W4. I wondered if this was a person's online handle or a weird reference to Super Mario Bros. 3 World 4. It seems to be the latter. Putting SMB3W4 into Google I get very few results, but most of them are about this YouTube video. It's an easter egg where things are giant, as in SMB3 world 4. Anyone know how to make this happen?
