i'm thinking either vol 2 of the halo 2 soundtrack (finally) or halo 2 BC on 360.

I'm guessing Halo movie related announcements. Director, maybe stars. Note he said "Bungie-related", not that Bungie would announce somethign. I'd love it if Marty got to do the score.

Could be any number of things. My guess is details on Halo 2 BC on 360. Maybe they did something cool with the emulation to make it look ultra-sweet or somehow enhanced. Maybe there won't be that .2-second texture pop-in anymore.

Less likely: Halo 1&2 come preloaded on the 360 HD and include some updates and/or classic maps. I mean, the HD better have more than just Hexic on it. :'(

I keep seeing rumors like this, but really, this is pretty silly. That would fill most of the HDD and render it useless for anything other than playing Halo 1/2. Why not just pack in the DVDs? :lol

Maybe they're finally going to fix Halo 2 Matchmaking so it doesn't match us Europeans against American's on thier own servers? No, didn't think so...
 
Maybe Stubbs goes gold (based on Halo engine, by Bungie co-founder - thus, Bungie-related). Stubb, stump. Just guessing.
 
I'm confused about something - about the 360 backwards compatibility issue - do the Xbox games that will be playable on the 360 have to have something preinstalled on the hard drive first or... I don't know, this has always confused me. Pardon my ignorance but from what I've read they haven't been very clear about it.

From what I've read it sounds like the Xbox is software emulated by the 360. However, this was achieved by specifically emulating certain games first with the idea that if you get X number of certain games to work, it leads to follow that many other games will work as well with no extra changes or minimum effort. I've noticed MS is changing their litany to describe it as BC rather than "Top Xbox games will work on 360" so I'm guessing they've been pretty successful at getting games to work.
 
Thanks. :) All I care about is being able to play Halo 1 and 2 on the 360 considering I don't have an Xbox anymore (I sold it and all of my games besides the two Halo's to have more money for the 360 launch - which may sound stupid to a lot of you but there just weren't many Xbox games I truly played all that much, sans Ninja Gaiden).
 
X05 is next week so its bound to be something that's going to be revealed at that, and i doubt they'd bother releasing Movie or Novel news to the Gaming journos.

Halo 2 BC seems most likely, maybe there's something extra that makes it 'cool' or 'suprising'...a map that comes on the HDD specially made for 360 or something like that.

Hey, what's wrong with Hexic?
 
Im hoping its a prettied up Halo 2 for 360. Not next gen looking of course, but maybe 720p, some FSAA, minus texture pop in, stuff like that would be really nice.

Note: by prettied up, I mean BC lets the game play like this. If its really software emulated for specific titles, it would make sense that the Xbox's biggest game get special treatment that might enduce current Halo 2 players to make the jump to 360.
 
That is a good guess, i wonder who bungie would trust to do it though, surely not gearbox again.

I couldn't care about the movie, sure I'd like Riddly Scott to direct but I want info on the games damnit, if no Halo 3 then on Halo 2 BC plz and Halo 2 Vol 2 OST :p

afaik they are the same models but different LOD settings... could be wrong tho
