If this happens it would be amazing but I think GTA 6 will be out this year. Most publishers are releasing games before Q3, even Nintendo is releasing the switch 2 before Q3 and I think it's because they got the heads up that GTA 6 will be out in Q3/Q4.

First off you're not even close to where I'm at on this lol i don't hate play anything I quit Destiny 2 in May of 23 so once I got to that level of disappointment and no longer enjoying the experience I quit so don't simply paint a picture just because you want it to fit your narrative.

The reason I quit was out of disgust for a game that bungie is on record for absolutely shitting on the pvp community so I'm a little bitter towards them for basically ruining a game I spent about a decade in faithfully.

I am a fan of bungies gameplay as I don't think there's any fps that feels as good as the way bungie shooters feel so yea that goes back to again I am really bitter because they forced me to make a decision to quit by ignoring pvp in destiny 2 for years.

They can absolutely try their hand at new shit, but what I have to automatically love it? I don't like "extraction" games... What's so hard to understand about that? So yea as far as I'm concerned they can fuck off with that...but I said also if it's getting really good reviews and maybe they have other modes that interest me, then I will give it a spin.

I'm disappointed that Bungie didn't choose the fantasy genre for their new game, but I'm dialed in for this reboot. I want to see them succeed, but in the way Myth did... with awesome music, writing, scale. Destiny got some of that but true inspiration? I'm hoping...

Yes, not everything needs to be catered towards you. I'm a lifelong Counter-Strike player but you don't see me going around in other Valve threads for their other projects, moaning about how they're shit and this and that and blablabla. Entitled much?

Marathon has no bearing on their other PVP modes for other games. It's a separate project entirely and Destiny's PVP was always a glorified afterthought at best (that's not to say it wasn't ever a good mode but it also wasn't ever their main focus either)

And you're so fucking wrong about a destiny pvp as the whole pitch of that game was go into pve to get guns to take into pvp, especially coming from bungie who had given us one of the greatest pvp shooters ever yet that wasn't peoples expectations going in lmao smoking some good shit over there I see. 😂

But as I said before I'll be open to see what happens but my personal opinion is I don't feel Marathon will have legs, that's my personal view.

Not sure why you feel that way we've seen literally nothing of it..........yet.

That's why I said I'm busting their balls man lol bungie just pissed me off with their treatment of not only just pvp in D2 but even the overall direction of destiny 2. I was a lifer and that game literally got put on auto pilot and to me it was the golden goose of live service games, I could've hunkered in another 10 years if they truly kept that game as a priority. But it turned into what I feel a game where they figuged these players will accept any slop we throw at them.

I don't like extraction anything really so it's why I'm not high on it at all yet, we will see what happens with the reveal.

I do know where you are coming from. I mainlined D1&2 pvp for a fair while and was kinda pissed myself the way they just left it to rot. However all games die eventually and mostly for the best. I just dropped it and moved on. You do sound particularly salty about it though. You never know maybe this game will scratch that itch, maybe.
 
I hope this helps Sony make back the $3+ Billion they used to acquire this studio that is a complete shell of itself.

Oh I'm salty absolutely haha but I'm also not a total stickler, even tho I am shitting on bungie I of course want their games to still be good. I just wish it was like a new spin on arena shooters maybe and not extraction, but we will see that's why I'm hoping I'll have my interest perked up with the reveal.

Waitin tho for the new BF to really scratch my pvp itch.

You're trying way to hard to pin something that isn't there, sure bungie can fuck off with extraction anything lol I don't expect it to be a win but I'm still open to seeing how it plays out and tryin it if the reveal grabs me.

Personally I think its a smart way to reveal an online game, release a 2 minute trailer and let people tune in and watch actual unedited gameplay (if this is how its handled)
 
I really hope it's good. Bungo's gunplay feels so fucking great. If it's $40 they better do an open beta. I won't buy it without giving it a shot first. But if (big BIG if) it's F2P, then I'll give it a go beta or no.
 
I'm far more interested in Destiny 2: Frontiers in the next few months than this....but we'll see. I love the PvE stuff in Destiny, a PvP only game just isn't clicking with me, but I'll give it a fair shot. Hopefully they surprise me.

Uhhh ok. They are gonna have to really impress me with the gameplay if this is the art style they're going with. If it's $40 and not f2p that's probably a good sign.
