Burnout Paradise = $8 on PSN RIGHT NOW. Buy it or get banned.

yea, that was my problem with the game. The racing is pure shit which is what i thought was supposed to be the main component of the game.

But going around street corners in the fastest cars and barely missing oncoming traffic gives me a huge adrenaline rush.

When you actually hit the right turn. The .005 second warning you get for a turn just kills the game.

Hahahaha I totally forgot that they added the DeLorean from Back to the Future. Is it worth $4, or is it included in another, cheaper bundle?

I dunno, I never had much trouble. Watching the map, your turn signals, etc.

..will sell my disc copy for 1 cent.

I supported Criterion and bought this game day one and it's dlcs, it was a great game,in the end they rewarded me with a stupid 30fps racing game that not even Burnout and not in open world.

This was the first game I bought for my PS3, I actually think I got my PS3 the day this came out. Such a great, great game. Loved every minute of it and I think I'm going to play it tonight when I get home now because this thread reminded me of it.

But it has a platinum trophy...

Post trophy patch platinum too. Because Criterion cares. And they made it easier to obtain so people who already 100%'d pre-patch could get it easily

I've got to say Wario, you're really selling me on the game.

Fantastic deal on an amazing game. I already own it, but didn't own Big Surf Island. I'll definitely be getting it now at that price.

Any of the vehicles DLC worth it?

Will this be compatible with my Burnout save from Euro PSN? I don't want to redo all of those races and campaigns I've won.

Like others have said, racing is tense but can be really frustrating if you lost direction. Plus not being able to restart right away is a pain in the ass. Also some of the online trophies/achievement are impossible unless you have friends playing the game at the same time. WTF is that shit?! But I do admit I enjoyed the game in general.

I'm there as soon as I get home from work. Sold my disc based copy a month or so ago hoping that with the big PSN welcome back that this would go on sale. Prognostication paying off!

Perfect game to have on your HDD for some quick load up and play sessions.

but that site that shows you what events/billboards/gates you missed is down I think? Those are the only trophies I'm missing :(

Did I say Criterion cares? Yup, they care. They made a patch that allows to restart an event at any time. See, they got their bases covered! Best game this gen.

Not sure, but you don't need 100% billboards/gates. Easily obtainable without any guide.

If you had the X360 version, it was much harder cause you couldn't use that site and you had to get 100%.

I thought people were well aware of this already.

Or log onto the UK store and get it for free with Free PS+

Or buy it for $10 with Big Surf included because it's an awesome game despite what GAF's hivemind (LOL SANDBOX RACER) thinks. >:|

Dunno who the mod is that changed the title, but they have the right idea.

(1) This game is absolutely fantastic, and
(2) it's the worst Burnout in the entire series, and I hope they go back to BO3 for inspiration on the next game.

I'm not a mod, but thanks. (that's the original title)

Got $11 on my account now.
Watching some gameplay videos...and it looks good.
Alright, I'll bite.

Ban (lol) avoided!

For those of you who enjoyed the game on Xbox 360, I should point out this is one of the few titles to boast extensive platform-specific trophies. Pick up a 2nd copy of Paradise now that it's cheap and you'll earn trophies for tasks you may not have pursued before.

FREE Bike DLC.
Patching in custom soundtrack support on the PS3.
Event restart patch.

Yeah, Criterion set an amazing example with Burnout Paradise. They get nothing but love from me.

I downloaded it off my friend's account for free long ago. I played it for about 2 hours total. I loved the old Burnout games and I enjoy the occasional Motorstorm session, but racing games just don't hold my interest unfortunately. From what little I played, I respected the production values very much.

Already bought it plus Big Surf Island and the legendary cars(which was worth it). Still, I highly recommend it.

Burnout is one of the few racing series that I enjoy but I really hated the open world aspects of the demo and the inability to restart events. Are there any actual regular race modes in this outside of multiplayer?

Not to mention added stats page to the PS3 version as well, adding in news sections, etc. PS3 version is the superior version too, so it's perfect.

God damnit, I bought it for full price TWO DAYS AGO, after my free UK PS+ ran out. Even bought the legendary car pack, again for full price. Not that the game isn't worth it, but if I'd waited for the sale, I could've afforded all of the DLC. :(

The demo for this game was horrible. It was way too small an area to really let loose.

Having it on both systems I can't see one as better than the other. The PS3 version bugged me more with the load time for the browser based stuff in the beginning, but at least you can disable that.

WAT?! I must be dyslexic because I didn't see restart again option on the screen. FML. Had to complete all of the events by going back and forth to the original location. Hmmm, I wasn't going to finish that VIP Driving License (113 events left to complete) after I got my Burnout Driving License since there's no trophy involved. But if I can restart right away I'd try this.

Surprised nobody said "Bomba!" yet.

It's very tempting to pick this up, despite the fact I already own the disc version and have it on the PC. It would be nice to just pick up and play.

If I were to buy this, would it work with the save I have for the disc version?

IIRC, you have to press right (or left?) on the dpad to restart. Yeah, it's kinda hidden, but it's there.

After failing an event, press right on the D-pad to restart the event.

"The |O| Burnout Paradise |T| of PRESSING RIGHT ON THE GODDAMN D-PAD."
