Sorry to hear it. Worst case scenario you could always appeal to the Nintendo Gods and maybe they'd help you out. I do think it's still within a timeframe that you could hear back from the poster, though.

TBH I wouldn't worry about it. Bad trades happen very rarely here. The poster you did a trade with is a long time member. Not saying that automatically gives him credibility, but he has more to lose than someone who just joined the site and headed straight to the B/S/T thread. It does suck that you were given a time frame with no reply. I'd definitely wait a little while longer before I worry about it though. You can always keep up with his Neogaf activity if you think he might be acting shady. Just go to his profile and it'll say last time he was active on here.

Not saying that person will flee, but I understand the feeling of an incomplete transaction. I had so many happen on craigslist that it's not worth recounting. "I'll definitely buy it from you by the end of the week" to not even bother to give a courtesy call in the end. The worst.

I understand that, but you can't assume everyone has email notification and their email synced to their phones (which reminds me that I need to forward mine to my regular one). I think a 24-48 hour leeway period is more than fair before saying you got scammed.

You can enable on GAF email notifications when you receive PMs. Since I used my school email, those notifications are sent to that email, so I just forwarded all emails going to it to my primary one. And because I synced my gmail app with my gmail account, I'll get notified when I receive any emails including those.
