The box is in a bit of rough condition, but it's completely intact, all sides are there, surface is fully visible, etc. Considering I never took great care of boxes, I'm surprised it's in as good shape as it is >.>

However, I'm not looking to go too low on anything, so if a game isn't worth at least around $10 to you (many of them significantly more than that, of course. It probably won't get any results, but you could try contacting Amazon with the gift card number and explain the circumstances... well, I would explain it as you having bought the code and someone else redeemed it maliciously. Gift card credit really shouldn't be used as a payment option unless you absolutely know who you're dealing with.

But yeah, this sort of situation is why people should mention their concerns earlier than later so the community is aware of potential scam behavior before it hits multiple targets. I know a lot of people asked the previous user to give FourMyle at least a week, but that's just ridiculous. If you have concerns, it's better to air them out right away then let it strew and grow to something much larger. If a buyer or seller is truly innocent, they should be able to respond and clear the air without suffering any consequences.

EDIT: Needless to say, same day concerns should at least wait for communication from the other party first, but if nothing occurs the next day, I believe it's more than reasonable to air out the concerns.

Yeah I won't make that mistake again. He sent me pictures proving he had the controller, and I figured since he was pretty active on Gaf and not a Junior, it would be low risk to give him the gift card.

I feel that's more than fair and generous considering shipping dates can take up to 2 business days for slow shipping from any good business. More than a week is excessive. Just because we (B/S/T) don't have a storefront doesn't mean business standards should be any different. Would you like reasonably allow people up to one week to respond without prior notification of doing so? That's how I see it.
