Dealing with Junior Members isn't really an issue, however, you definitely have to do your due diligence and check them out before conducting business willy-nilly.

This pretty much goes for any member with low to no feedback.



If he/she did pay via PayPal Gift, he/she should file a claim either way and explain the situation. In addition, he/she should consult his bank and report it as an unauthorized transaction should the worst occur.

Yeah, I don't know about this advice.

Just don't use Gift if it's a big purchase guys. It's really that simple and the fees aren't even that much.

I've done it several times before with really big issues and I managed to keep my account, however, I did bring up the issue with PayPal in those same cases.

I can't highly recommend the option, but it's definitely a last resort someone should consider unless they're okay with their money going to the wind.

I didn't gift, fortunately. I have filed a dispute with PayPal already but that looks to be a long process (he has a month to respond) with no guaranteed outcome (PayPal will "assess" my claim at that point and make a determination.)

I agree. What really grinds my gears is that's my tablet-buying budget and it's now tied up, with no guarantee I'll ever get it back. Since this happened, an identical tablet popped up on a local market and I missed it because I had "spent" the money already. Who knows how many times this will happen between now and me getting it back / saving up more.

About as much time and effort as some of the CN codes up for grabs in the thread or the Humble keys that pop up in here.

Why do you think I offered it up only in trade for codes that are expiring today? Figured someone may have missed out on this and want it, I might end up with a game I'd otherwise never play. Random swaps can make for interesting discovery.
