My thoughts after reaching level 30 is.. its good. The movement is more than just a gimmick. The maps were very average. I wish the guns felt more like mw2019. The hostage taking is unnecessary. The gun progression needs to be balanced, pistols for example shouldn't take as long to level up as a primary. Not a fan of the sleeper agent field upgrade, but at least vigilance counters it. Overall it is fun and I will probably buy it. Any word on how many maps there will be?

Supposed to be 16 all new maps, no remasters or remakes

I have never missed a black ops game. But this might be my first. Beta ended and I feel like I had my fill. I am im zero rush to play more. This says a lot as I have a ton of hours in all the other black ops games. In comparison, I played the Marvel Rivals beta and I am itching like an addict to play more lol. Sparking Zero will also probably hook me for a long time, and that comes ouy first. And if I want a better COD like experience, I have Xdefiant (hope it doesnt die).

This didnt feel like a treyarch or black ops game, horrible maps, horrible netcode, horrible sbmm, no flow to gunfights or maps, horrible streaks, etc. Cold War was so much better.

Kinda meh the new movement system is kinda stupid every game is sliding diving etc if you don't do these your at a loss they get first hit 90% of time. I'll give it more time but they just always go overboard
Ehh, I barely dive and I'm consistently winning gun fights. I think the key is to check corners with ADS, most of the time when they dive a corner auto aim tracks it if your ADSing already. Now when the slide towards you and past your fov.... You're pretty much dead lol

I gave this another shot on my PS5, and the transition from mkb to controller when I haven't used one for shooters in a very long time was really tough, I was changing settings every other minute to make it feel comfortable for myself.

I just shit on 2 lobbies back to back and then turned it off, didn't want the SBM to kick in and make me hate the gate before the beta ended :D

Pretty sure they turned it off there near the end. I had about 15 matches in a row where I went anywhere from 3-7x on my K/D.

Multiple domination matches ended 250 to ~10.

All my games were close which was good. I wish there was a companion app because I think my KDR would be about 2-2.5 which far surpassed my expectations. I always felt I could counter certain playstyles or environment/map knowledge could manage the flying soldiers.

I also had a few server nemesis who basically just shat on me and killed me like 6/7 times but yeah I really liked it.

Does cod still have a companion app?

It's too early to say, they do that in the beta with weaker SBMM to make you buy the game

I agree that the hostage taking is kinda weird and I could do without it. Same for Winner's Circle at the end of every match... wish I could turn that off.

I got to level 30 and enjoyed my time with it.
I didn't encounter a single cheater in that time. Maybe it's less prevalent in the Oceanic region?
Played on PC with a controller and the auto aim felt less than MWIII but still good.

I'll definitely be playing it on launch.

The winner circle has to be removed. Such a waste of time.

But then how would you show off all the skins you've purchased.

I've felt the same way with bo6 as Cold War in 2020

I love the movement, still no ememy spotting.

Rewind (The rewind map is reminiscent of the three-lane competitive maps of Call of Duty.) has alleys, stores are useful, everyone focus' on those.

I'm excited for the campaign.

I hope they keep the auto-lean and 360˚ prone animations in future games because those mechanics are very well implemented. However, I felt this game was very poorly designed and visually to be extremely bland and ugly. The faster movement speed really clashes with the smaller map design, to create an experience that feels completely braindead. Matches have no flow and there is almost no thought or variety to each gunfight, you just twitch. It's extremely boring.

Didn't enjoy my time with the beta really at all and I'm someone who at least enjoys COD MP for a few weeks every year.

I won't pass judgement on maps and spawns until a month or two after the release.

Scud is the worst map son far

I didn't really have an issue with any of the maps all played pretty dam good. Never thought not this map again and for new maps that's a rare thought on a CoD game, derelict was a blast ripping people a new one on.

Maxed levelled way too quickly. Be nice to have OG prestige anyway.

10000% I feel so heavy.
That's how I felt with MW2019. MW2019 had great graphics, satisfying animations, and more punchy/realistic gunplay, but for me that didn't translate to the snappy arcade-y fun of CoD's prior. I think BO6 might've crossed a bit too far into arcade-y land but I'm not complaining!
