Call-Of-Duty-Black-Ops-6 |OT| Even the Truth Lies Apparently Phil.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Jesus Christ.

I did a fresh install and it was pretty seamless for me. Just the essential files (11GB~) and the Blops 6 package (50~GB) and that's all I needed to play the campaign. It didn't ask me to download shared Warzone files like last year.

I have not gotten to play Stakeout yet
I put a tip earlier in the thread. For camo grinding you need to play hardcore. Filter everything off apart from the bottom option. Can’t remember what it’s called. It’s a playlist that doesn’t allow score streaks. All maps are small and everyone keeps voting stakeout because it’s carnage and has a corridor great for headshots.

After getting mastery in last two games, I’m disappointed to see this game just relies on so many headshots. But hey ho

Zombies mode easter egg

Played this earlier, had no idea wtf was going on.

I need to get better at playing the objective. My KD bounces from like 1.2 - 1.7 at the moment, generally my worst games are like 0.8/9. Assists obvs pumps those numbers up but even though I'm supporting playing the objective (like clearing arcs outside point holds) you only seem to score big when you're in the area

People keep saying its dead but...

I think it's a perfect blend of mixing pretty much all the different genres of shooters in one game.

The sbmm is really good I think and most of my games are close (except control which is usually a whitewash one way or the other).

It's amazing that it supports casual play so well (by which I mean us mere amateurs not twitch fly reflex streamers) as well as competitive.

What’s interesting is that it’s not listed in the top 5 US PSN games. Is it being suppressed?
Thats not a real time chart is it? I thought it was for the month? I dunno I could be wrong not super familiar with PSN charts.

Pretty sure this incorporates player numbers from MWII, MWIII, BLOPS6 & Warzone.
it does but so does last years and the year before.

CCU was at its lowest point since it debued on steam prior to launch @around 80k so its safe to say it has performed exceptionally well on launch weekend. Better than MW2 even and that game was a monster.

Interesting to see how it does on other platforms because gamepass doesn't seem to have done much to steam sales at all so far.

Any advice for the HDR settings here? My TV has peak brightness of 1000 and usually I set it at that in games too. But what do I do here?

Finished the campaign and overall felt it was okay. It didn't go where I thought it was going to in terms of narrative (around the zombies and perhaps making that loosely canon) but otherwise it had some decent setpieces and memorable characters. That said I doubt I'll ever go back and replay it.

Now to give Zombies a try.

Yeah this is why I said people might not like it at all, and the whole "best campaign mission ever" thing is silly.
There's a similar thing in cold war but you actually have to go out of your way to get it, it's not unavoidable as it is here.
I love horror games but didn't care for this mission at all. The concept is cool sure, but you spend the whole mission tripping balls and finding out about the protagonist's origins, only to then that particular part of the lore not mattering at all for the overarching story of the game.
Bizarre storytelling, I'm still trying to understand how so many people are saying this is one of the best COD campaigns ever, I feel like I'm having a boomer moment.

The Cold War MK Ultra mission was also better than the one in this game imo, the best mission of this game for me is probably the Bill Clinton party one.

black ops is known for having story threads bleed into separate games though, we don't know yet if that lore doesn't matter, since if you try to talk about it in the safehouse it gets blocked, and it turns back up at the very end with the helicopter.
They could be saving it for the next game or have this story thread continue with the upcoming seasons, like how you kill graves in MWII campaign, but then turns out he never died and he returned during season 5

True, but it's still strange to me that the main focus of the mission barely matters, if the focus was reversed and the main story bits of that mission were about the main villain of the game and then you found about Case's origins in a small cutscene afterwards instead, that would've been a different story.
I don't mind gimmick missions in COD, if done well they can be really cool. But this one to me just felt like a lame excuse to introduce Zombies gameplay to the campaign, which of course some people will love and I completely understand it, but since I don't really care about Zombies and storywise it was so lackluster, to me it just felt like yet more filler unfortunately.

Supposedly COD 2025 will be a BO 2 sequel, we'll see if anything regarding this storyline turns up in there.

Completed the Liberty Falls main quest / EE yesterday.

Zombies is just so good. Went in with that last bolt action rifle sniper rifle. L7.25 or something like that? You pack a punch it and it shoots like earthquake grenades it’s pretty crazy. I’m talking about taking out 10 enemies per shot.

I played a few hours of MP on PC which was good fun. I fancied trying the xbox series x version last night as I didnt fancy sitting at the PC using the mouse - fucking hell am I shocking at MP shooters with the gamepad. I just shoot AROUND people - empty an entire clip over their heads. I mean the cool thing was it was still entertaining and it just pulled all my progression from the PC - so even though I was utter fucking dogshit, I still unlocked a few new bits and levelled up my gun a bit.

I only just realised in MP you can pick up dead peoples guns too! Thats quite cool for trying other load outs out.

These CODs have a thing called rotational aim assist and there are tricks to make it work harder for you

A lot of videos out there giving tips how to make this aim assist stronger by just moving while firing

Progression really slows down at level 40. I think levels 40-55 require roughly the same xp as levels 1-40.
