Got maybe 2hrs into the campaign- havent touched multiplayer yet. (Kinda how i used to always start COD at release).
I suppose the change for me is that this campaign is actually pretty good thus far - glad to see it make a return. I dont typically care for the Black Ops line.
Last year was an absolute joke.

I think I heard some rumblings that Treyarch always wanted to do a whole campaign around that and to be honest... I'm all for it. There's not much left they can do as CoD has pretty much been everywhere in terms of narrative backdrop except for that. I honestly thought they would go all the way here but unfortunately they didn't.

I wouldn't buy another COD if they did. In fact, I will be waiting before I buy the 2025 COD to find out if it has it at all like this one. If it does, I am out.

It won't 'cause Treyarch are the zombies people. It's their baby and they cooked up all the storylines for that mode.
The CoD after this will most likely be a continuation of MW3 or perhaps even loosely based on BO6. As long as the Warzone gravy train keeps flowing they will want to keep everything centered on that which means the same engine for all studios and the fact that every game has to be incorporated as easily as possible.

Why they have not done this yet is a mystery. I don't play much Zombies but the mode seems super popular when they get it right.
A full game spin off with a campaign etc would do really well . I guess its a resource issue as COD proper keeps the whole of Activision busy as is.

I’m like 3 missions away from finishing the campaign and this has been my favorite CoD campaign in a very long time. I sure hope my saves are there when I return. That would suck @$$

The mannequins in Emergence freaked me out big time.
Having a great time with the campaign, and cleared the rook for the secrets. I wish there were more, after getting the achievement for it. There are still a couple of questions unanswered, though? Im thinking about the scratch marks on behind the picture on the right side of the HQ, and then the boot prints leading from the piano door to Woods´ bed.

Is that supposed to be Mason in the 'zinger' at the end?
Cause this is supposedly set 2, 3 years after the mission in Black ops 2 where Menendez tricks Woods into 'killing' Mason and cripples him afterward.

To add to previous post: if thats all there is to the bunker, I wish there were more to it because its a great concept. It kind of reminded me of The Bunker horror game. All that just for a code to open the safe for a 1000 dollar reward.

Probably not, but treyarch did show the alternate version of that event in the story recap video, either a mistake or they are planning to do something with it.

I think the “Best Play” is random. I’ve had several instances where I had like a 3-5 multikill moments, but a simple double kill got the “Best Play”.

While resetting the game didnt do anything, deleting my saves and restarting the PC fixed it.
PC. Now resolved though.
I deleted my saves (after backing up, of course). I guess that did something and fixed it.

Sucks you had to jump through so many hoops, but at least you got it fixed. Comes with the territory of PC gaming though. At least from my days with PC gaming.
I would but the maps are 7-12 times larger and more bloated so it's hard finding the exit

finished the campaign, my god the dream sequences and zombie sequences are fucking terrible. I was very annoyed at all the 'find the mirror pieces' bullshit.

Going to play some BG3 with the Mrs for a few hours and then hop back on this tonight. I'm really enjoying my time with it so far. It's nothing special but it came at the right time for me. I literally turn my brain off and shoot the bad guys, I don't care about the fine balancing details.

I played Zombies and MP yesterday with HDR enabled, while specular highlights looked good to me, for some reason the colors are a bit....drowned out, bland? Especially noticed this when I watched a YouTuber I follow play some matches in a video that was SDR.

It could be random choice between multiple “best plays” but it will never be a random kill… it’s much better than what we had in MWIII

Kind of what I think as well it just stores several plays then picks one
I had a nice little 5 piece with a pistol in very rapid succession and the best play was a guy laying prone guarding a site line had a double then a second or two later got a 3rd kill

Where do I find all the graphics settings? Someone on another forum said to disable FidelityFX and such, but where is it? I only see HDR and some eco stuff.
The very odd thing is that some of my buddies DO have those settings, but a few others don’t. Is this a bug?

Same old same old. I can play it with my gamepass sub but I don't feel like it. Its just another subpar version of MW 2019. Jumping around like Neo then flopping on the ground like a fish was fun for a while though.
