I have just now finished the campaign. It took around 9 hours to complete and wow. I didnt know there was a goty material here.

Also, who knew activision could make horror like that?

Blown away.

Gameplay is great and I loved the Campaign, my last favourite campaign was Cold War so I was surprised they managed to surpass it and evolve it.

My current problem with the game right now is the Map pool, it's really really bad.. I don't like any map at all, everything feels like weirdly designed from covers to the whole map setup.

Finally got to play some multi-player today... didn't do stellar gotta get used to new movement a bit. Watched a good YouTube video changed a bunch of Xbox settings and it made a huge difference. Will probably play through the campaign this week a mission or two per day perhaps. Looking forward to it.

Finished the campaign. Treyarch and Raven are a talented team. They can do a horror game if they wanted. A few missions had horror vibes. I might got back and get two last gun blueprints.

Multiplayer and zombies will be here on out

They should just make an entire standalone zombies game. Expand on that Emergence mission it feels like a different game anyway.

How hard are the blueprints in the campaign to get?

I am really starting to sour on BO6. It never happens this quickly with a COD game for me. I don't want to rant and rave and whine and cry because people don't care what I think, but man is it getting frustrating. I hope all of you are having a better time with MP than I am. I really should give the Campaign a go, as I hear it is the best COD campaign in some time.

I mostly play Kill Order, since that requires some team coordination or at least tactics to do well rather than ADHD 360 degree sliding. Definitely give the campaign and zombies a shot too.

I did play a few rounds of KO and I did like it. I guess I just got used to randos being terrible at playing objectives from my Domination days and I've since largely ignored objective modes in COD lol.

Do you play it in Core or Hardcore?

I was expecting to play Zombies with coworkers, but after one night it has hasn't happened again. I am not good enough at the mode so I don't want to mess up randoms' games. I've also had really bad experiences with randoms in general in gaming. My days in Apex Legends still give me fits of anger just thinking about them.

I play Core usually.

If you're having trouble with Zombies, bring in the auto shotgun and upgrade that one. It's a beast. Also there are a lot of terrible people at Zombies so don't sweat it, progression isn't tied to group performance so you're not ruining anyone else's time.

Not hard just got to pick up and find cash laying around in safes or random spots. You get a $1000 if you find the safes. Three blueprints are $3000 each. I think there is also a hidden one at the safehouse but that's a complicated one. You can also get cash from the armoured enemies when killed.

Thank you so much for the encouragement and tips. I really appreciate it! =D

Use the filters. Pick modes that suit your play style.

Out of all the modes, my filter only lets me play 4 game types.

Out of all the modes, my filter only lets me play 4 game types.

I play one. I play Hardcore Free-For-All. In the last few COD entries, it was fine. I won my fair share of matches, I worked on plenty of challenges and while I was never good enough or dedicated enough to unlock the final camos, they were always my goal. (I love outer space so it was that much more frustrating never earning them, as they were space themed.) I also enjoyed working towards Calling Cards and Emblems.

In BO6, the maps are too small and the spawns are atrocious for HC FFA. Team modes in HC are frustrating because randoms love to run into fields of friendly fire and they love to shoot teammates haphazardly. They have no discipline. Too many people also just farm kills instead of playing objectives. No one uses a mic until they feel like talking shit. It becomes pointless playing with people in a team setting when they are only playing for themselves and never talk. FFA removes all of that, except this time around the maps and spawns are bad enough to make it tedious and frustrating more than it is fun. I am not speaking objectively for anyone else and their experiences, of course. These have been my poor experiences consistently in COD and other online games.

(I usually run Recon but as a byproduct of wanting the three Recon class Perks.)

Anecdotal at best, but I just won a match without Recon and I wasn't even trying to win. I was surprised when I won lol. I wasn't keeping track of score. I was simply pushing Headshots and working on a Daily, using a specific gun and certain Perks to enhance the run and gun playstyle I use with that gun. Knowing spawns and maps is vital with or without Recon.

After Recon is changed, something else will become part of the meta. C9 is still op as far as I'm concerned but are people complaining about that? (No, I'm seriously asking. I haven't seen complaints but maybe they're complaining lol)

Loved being able to take the approach you wanted to accomplish your objectives, hope that becomes a standard thing going forward. The campaign started strong, but I feel like it just... ends. I like hallucination levels, they're almost a staple of the Black Ops games but...
I feel like they did it too damn much at the end

Not a bad campaign, but for Treyarch standards, they could've done better.

So my campaigns ranking would be:
- Black Ops
- Black Ops Cold War
- Black Ops 2
- Black Ops 6
- Black Ops 3

Zombies finally clicked after hating it for the first few rounds. I've researched augments, understand more of the systems, I get it now. It's fun.

Also, the ASG-89 wall-buy shotgun in the Liberty map helped make some space to learn the ropes.

Anyway, that recon specialist bonus wall hack, lol. What were they thinking..

Absolutely loving the multiplayer this year. Switched from Core to Hardcore since it feels like a much faster version of Insurgency Sandstorm to me with the TTK. Running around with a long barrel silenced handgun is off the scales in terms of fun factor to me. Nothing like diving through windows and doorways with that gun and letting rip.

Can't wait to get into the campaign later this week on PS5 Pro.

Hardcore is honestly the only way to play, once you switch back you’ll run rampant over regular players as long as you learn to hold the trigger down.

Just jumped into a MP game to test out my new TV. Threw me into a core game and I hated the fact that it took more than one shot to down someone with a marksman rifle at chest height. Never going back to core.

I do seem to enjoy hardcore more. There is something silly when you calculate how many bullets to the face it takes to down someone.

To the person above. SBMM has made getting into a game so long the map voting is needed so you don't need to restart every time a map comes up you hate. And there are a lot of shit maps in this game.

Played for almost 6hrs straight yesterday… can’t remember the last time I’ve done that with any video game
Lets just say I did more....my hand is actually getting sore so occasionally I'm reverting to controller to rest it:)

IS that where you try to kill the HVT? I hate that mode on HC especially when grinding headshots.

They really need to get rid of the map voting.

If I wanted to play the same map over and over I'd just play Nuketown 24/7.
I don’t mind the voting, but I don’t like the classified option.

Finally got a few games on Red Card and I don’t get the hate. Maybe too big for TDM/Kill confirmed, but played well on Hardpoint. Cool setting too!

If I played console only this would get me to jumnp up to a pro. But for the money, I would start to think about PC. I made the jump in 2019 when I sold my PS4 Pro to part fund it.
I play on both PC and Playstation and seeing more and more straight up aimbots on the PC side of things

I know there are still cheaters on consoles but I don't see those blatant hacks like I do in PC
