Let me know if you also experience your PS4 sounding like a jet engine in the menus. That did not happen before this newest patch.

I can believe I'm saying this, but this might be the most bland and boring CoD I have ever played. (And yes, I played both 3 and Ghosts. At least Ghosts' campaign was alright, and 3 was one of the first few FPS on Wii.)

- Campaign is unbearably dull, and I actually dislike the "pick your loadout!" deal- it removes a lot of the fun "here's a loadout that'll work well and be a ton of fun in this particular mission" type deal. Maybe it's because I'm playing it solo, but it's just not interesting.
- Multiplayer feels uninspired as well. If Titanfall meant you were quick on your feet, and Advanced Warfare felt like traditional CoD with jetpacks, BO3 makes you feel like a tank in motion.
- In addition, the modes just feel... soulless. The maps don't have any life to them in my opinion.
- Zombies is fun but it also feels more technical and difficult than "here's a map kill the zombies!" (to be fair, I didn't like Tranzit at all, but I loved BO1 and the AW season pass for zombies).

BO2 was my favorite CoD until AW, I *loved* AW, but I'm really not digging this entry at all. Love me some Treyarch (have since Spider-Man 2!) but I think I'll be awaiting the next Sledgehammer entry. :/

Anyone able to get into matches on Xbone?

I'd get into a lobby with about 2-3 other people for minutes without finding anything so I quit out and restarted, and now I get "Failed to host lobby" anytime I search for anything.

Edit: working after the third resart.
 
Servers are down on PS4? I'm getting this error all the time, anyone else?

I get this message pretty much every time I boot the game. I just press ok, and then ok when the next window comes up, and then play the multiplayer as normal. It usually works.

The game is a glitchy mess when it comes to the network but when it finally works it's fun.
 
Just decided to get this on PS4. This is my first COD since Black Ops 1...which I didn't like very much. But I am in the mood for some fast paced MP FPS action. I hope I will like it.
 
I'm really starting to think that not being able to hear foot steps on my 5.1 system is really hurting me. Maybe I'm just crazy thinking that... I'm not sure. I'm looking for a headset for ps4 with mic for MP games only, must keep it under $100 though. Are the "PlayStation Gold Wireless Stereo Headset - Jet Black" as listed on Amazon for $79 the best there is in the price range?

You're at a huge disadvantage without headphones. I'd say I get 5-6 kills per match based on sound. Whether it's knowing where to turn when walking through a doorway or turning around to shoot a guy in the back who is running behind me, it's a massive advantage.

This could influence my purchasing decision. Is the Nuketown playlist back?

And furthermore, does Nuketown come up during regular matchmaking with any regularity? It's part of the launch edition of the game, so most people should have it, right?

It only shows up in the Chaos Moshpit playlist normally but once it comes up you can bet everyone will vote on it no matter what mode

Well, that's unfortunate. Flank two guys, assumed punch is OHKO. It isn't. I died after I punched one guy, then the other, assuming I had both.

yeah, i still haven't gotten used to the removal of the knife. that being said, it is still a change that I welcome.

Yeah, playing Chaos Moshpit and it is a joke.

Loads of people leaving and entering the game too, so clearly not just a me thing.

As was posted earlier, when it's fine it's great, when it's lagging it is unplayable. It isn't a case of just small lag it's teleporting around the map like a slideshow, but it is only in blips. Not constant.

So official word is that rare supply drops aren't worth the 30 cryptokeys right?

Considering I have been getting up to epic items from the cheap ones I am sticking with them. 20 more keys to guarantee just one rare seems like a bit too much.
 
I second the headphone recommendation. With a decent pair + awareness perk, it is sooooo hard to get snuck up on. Even if you die at least you had warning which mitigates most of the annoyance. Especially good when you are playing a team with lone flankers. Stupidly easy to hear them moving through walls.

I think I've been snuck on a grand total of one time and it was a guy running a all-stealth spectre build lol.

I'm going to agree with this.
200+ hours into that game and I hate it so fucking much. Nothing wrong with liking it but I cannot stand AW.

I think some of these changes were already implemented during game setting updates but most of it is new.

On mobile right now so my copy-pasta game is hella weak.
It says in barracks

But I see no indication of a leader board when you are in a public mode

Bo2 would say how's the best out of both teams

General

Leaderboards enabled in the Barracks.
Players are now awarded Cryptokeys in Arena and Public matches, after playing consecutive matches in the same playlist.
Team balancing in Arena and Public Matches has been improved to more consistently maintain even teams.
Fixed a UI error when entering Prestige in the Multiplayer Frontend menus.
Addressed a UI error in Fileshare when selecting an empty tab.
Addressed an issue where hosts were able to leave as soon as the game began.
Fixed an issue where white boxes were appearing for Custom Classes in Create-A-Class.
General Gameplay

Addressed a case where Scorestreak kills were counting toward Specialist kills for Challenge completion.

Fixed an issue with the unlock requirements for the 9th helmet.

Medals will all display in their respective sorted category in the Medals section of the Barracks.
Fixed issues for the Tag and Bag, Surprise Attack, GI Unit Kill, and Silent Killer Medals not populating in the Barracks.
Fixed issues with the You’re Done and Shut Down medals. These will now be awarded correctly.
The extraneous Secure Point Medal displayed in the Medals section has been removed.
Exodus

Fixed an exploit where Players were able to mantle into an unintended area of one of the buildings.
Fringe

Fixed an issue where Players were able to mantle into an unplayable space in Fringe.
Nuk3town

Addressed an exploit spot involving a wall of one of the buildings.
Improved Cerebus Scorestreak’s pathing on the 2nd floor of the houses.
Addressed an issue where Players were able to stand outside of the map boundaries.
Players are no longer able to shoot through a wall on the 2nd floor of one of the buildings.
Fixed an exploit where users were able to stand on a ledge under one of the 2nd floor windows.
Players can no longer wedge themselves in between a tower and one of the high walls.
Fixed an issue with dead player models outside the white fenced area.
The Safeguard robot will no longer get stuck outside the North Garage, when attempting to path toward the North Goal.
Fixed 2 exploits where the player could see into the spawns, as well as shoot players through glass.

ZOMBIES

Addressed exploits in the Shadows of Evil and The Giant maps.
Fixed a matchmaking issue where players were able to enter lobbies when they were already full.
Addressed various areas where zombies would not path to players.
Players will now be rewarded with a Dark Ops calling card when they Prestige.
CAMPAIGN

Player can now equip custom Paintjobs in the Armory in the Campaign Safehouses.
Players can now use the Weapon Builder to access Gunsmith and Paintshop in the Campaign Safehouses.
Addressed stability issues.

Since the patch I seem to be encountering awful lag type frame drops in MP. Everything is running at 60 then when I get close to certain other players it's randomly freeze-framing the action, connection meters suggests people are hovering on 4/5 bars. Never seen this before tonight.

Also feels like the recoil on the Manowar might be higher. Could just be my imagination.

The game is amazing, MP is the most fun since Black Ops 1 and Zombies is the best since ever lol

Game is a blast, maps are so good and is very balanced, i like that killstreaks were controlled by Treyarch and you cant deploy many at the same time, per exemple if i have something in the air it will say you cant deploy. i love it.

Hunted and RedWood are AmAzInG!

The Manowar is straight bad pre-patch, I can't see them making it worse.
