Interesting. Very interesting. Can we have his name, address, gamertag, and IP address please?

I don't think BO has servers, I think it's P2P unless I'm mistaken. Of all the COD games I've played though, I've had the most fun with COD4 and BO. Why IW can't match what they did with COD4 I will never know.

Personally, if the olympia was in MW3 and had the exact same stats (range, damage, spread), I would be having a lot more fun with the shotguns, but as it stands my choices on the game with the better connection are:
USAS-12: Usable (although you will want the range or damage proficiencies)
KSG-12: Unusable. A pump-action that can't even get a 1HK within 5 five feet consistently
SPAS-12: Usable with damage proficiency, although it still feels like nothing compared to the shotguns in BO and MW2. Without that proficiency it's a crapshoot
AA-12: Unusable. No range at all. Abysmal Ammo. Why the fuck is this a primary?
Striker: Usable, although it could still use a slight buff.
Model 1887: Usable, although with the damage proficiency it feels like a crapshoot past 5 feet.

I seriously don't get why IW felt the shotguns of MW2 would have been too cheap for this game since pretty much everything else already kills you with 2-3 bullets in shotgun range.

I hate the look of the maps in this game...why are they dark even in sunny settings.

Oh and the knife is still broken, what's with the 90 degree knife lunges.

Hey Infinity Ward, I like your soundtrack and all, but when I'm playing my iPod could you do like every single other Xbox game and, you know, turn off your music? The last thing I need is your dramatic orchestral soundtrack interfering with my house music playlist.

More than that, why nerf em at all from MW2 if you're gonna make em primaries?

It's so annoying killstreaks don't stack. I was playing with hardline and had care packages activated. I had to keep running away to throw them now that I can't carry more than one. Stupid decision. :(

I really hope this is just a bug and not the way they designed it.

I swear the spawnpoints are worse than any other CoD I've played.

Absolutely hilarious seeing yourself get killed twice in a single killcam.

Pump action shotguns shouldn't need 4-5 hit markers at max range to kill, yeah. The delay in between shots have to be lowered or they need to be two hit kills max.

Really not feeling how high the killstreaks are now, but still so easy to shoot down. A PaveLow can destroy teams, but it already gets taken down immediately. At 12 kills it should take some team coordination to take down, not just 2 quick Stingers from some guy with Sleight of Hand and Assassin. I worked my ass off for that PL, at least require some effort for taking it down too! Osprey Gunner is even worse at its ridiculous 17 kills, but still goes down after just 2 Stingers. That's broken balance right there.

Agree with all of this. The shotguns are a total joke! Why did they take the time to put in more shotguns than ever before, only to nerf all of them? Why did they throw in super-easy mode sniping so that a stupid L118A actually beats a SPAS at 5 feet? That's just beyond retarded.

I'm enjoying using the Model 1887 but it's so ridiculously inconsistent and broken... Can't use it if you expect to maintain any kind of KD. It's ironic that this is the game where akimbo 1887's would've been welcome and needed!

I think it might be because of that drone thingy.
Yep. I get ridiculous assists whenever I snipe, as that class has Recon Drone on it. I didn't think that little thing would be so much fun to use, and I personally think it's 10 times more fun than the assault drone. (Assault drone sucks because you don't get a minimap and thus have no idea where to go with it. No idea why that's at 10...)

Haha yeah I was running around Fallen earlier and the enemy called in an Attack Chopper. I was at the edge of the map where the chopper was supposed to enter, so I pulled out my Stinger and took it out before it even crossed the edges of the map. I felt bad for the guy lol.

Are all the weapon stats out yet? I could swear they lowered either the radius or the damage on Semtex, I'm getting so many hitmarkers on accurate throws.

My "Ghost" Class

MP5 w/Dual Attachments (Extended Mags + Silencer)

Perk 1: Slight of Hand
Perk 2: Assassin
Perk 3: Stalker

Support Streaks: UAV(4) and CUAV(5)

Simply put, I'm not on the radar and I'm an asshole. UAVs for the team, and counter UAVs to annoy the enemy team to give me the opportunity flank them and what not.

Of course, understanding the maps and having good situational awareness is key.

I think one thing might be that the range on throws might be different. I noticed that the throwing knife has a huge dropoff now and grenades might be similar. I had a semtex kill me and another full health person yesterday so it definitely has a lethal range still.

Try not to stay still unless you have teammates who you trust to cover your back near you; these maps seem designed for constant pushes and heavy flanking.

shoot down all air support, easy points for your killstreak

keep in mind that there is a large drop off from short to long range damage, even more than previous entries, so a suppressor might not always be the best option. Instead, pick a different attachment and employ bait and run tactics; kill a guy anticipate an immediate second encounter, so find cover and let him walk into your sights. If no one comes, assume you're being flanked and move

Try to anticipate the spawns, which really only comes from experience...... that's all I got.

sidenote: sniper rifles are easymode in this game

My class

M4A1/ACR
Silencer
Kick

Perk 1: Extreme Conditioning
Perk 2: Hardline
Perk 3:Stalker/Dead Silence

Assault: 5, Predator, 7, Attack Helicoptor, 9, AH-6 Overwatch.

I'm always moving around constantly and this was a much easier thing to do when no one had assassins or the stinger. It's great having tons of air support going around helping me. Once you get the Predator missile, you're practically guarnateed the rest of the killstreaks.

oh and dont run out in the middle of maps like in interchange smh

One way they could do that is do what treyarch did and just allow the pump-action shotguns to have really small spread when you aim down the sight.

But yeah. the big issue is that in past call of duty games, the shotguns mostly did 30-40 per pellet (with 8 pellets) close range and then dropped off to 10 damage after 15-20 feet. Here it's less damage per pellet and less pellets and shorter dropoff.

PP90P or whatever submachine gun.
Perk 1 - Blind eye
Perk 2 - Hardline
Perk 3 - Steady aim

2 Attachments - Silencer/rapid fire

Strike package - Specialist (Slight of Hand, Scavenger, Assasin)

Run like fuck, hip firing everywhere. You basically get 4 perks after your first kill and all of them once you get 7 then just enialate the opposing team.

I feel like the grenade/semtex throw range/arc is exactly the same as it was in MW2. It felt instantly recognizable to me, unlike Black Ops' which felt much different and toned down (less distance). I do think that the damage has been reduced — frags seem to be a bit more effective than semtex.

Yeah, range/arc feels the same to me; I had no problem lobbing them through windows with precision, unlike in Black Ops.

My PP90 setup is like this:

Pp90
Silencer
Range

Sleight
Hardline
Steady Aim

Specialist: Assassin, Scavanger, Blind Eye.

You know how awesome it is to get the assassin perk for just caping a domination point at the beginning of the match. I don't get why people don't use Hardline as their 2nd perk when they're running the Specialist package. I mean if you want another perk just put the 2nd on as your first one you get for a killstreak

Is it wrong for me to sell this game soon?

I have the PS3 copy and the game is nearly unplayable to me because sometimes whenever I unload half a clip onto a guy's stomach, I get no hit markers and I die instantly. It's so frustrated to use a shotgun, such as the striker, with this lag; I can unload all 12 shots onto a guy and get one hit marker, then I die while reloading or switching to another weapon. In other words, lag is my worst enemy.

This game makes me so frustrated just by playing it. Does this game deserve a 90% on Metacritic?

I prefer Focus to Range with this class you'll mostly be navigating interiors/hallways, I never go out in the open with this class...it's instant death. If you play this way you don't really need Range, Focus is much more effective because there will be times that the enemy will shoot you first (rare, but it happens) or you'll come up against a gang of enemies all firing on you. Focus dampens the effect of bullets hitting you SO much, I've been able to kill 2-3 people at a time while they're firing on me because of this. Range is good, but it isn't needed for this class IMO (unless you want to be effective in both close and mid range combat).

MW2 ost >>>>>>>>>>>> MW3 ost. Aside from one really good song(the main theme I assume) and a few other decent ones there is a huge disparity.

It should have carried over more themes from 2. (MW2 was one of my favorite ost of the year)

EDIT: The game surprised me, I thought I would be underwhelmed with the WW3 concept. But the spectacle pulled it off.

I would just link to my Elite page, but that's not an option. :(

I mean, I have 2.00+ K/D mostly because I'm playing FFA/TDM/KC. Once I get to playing objective gametypes with parties, it will probably go down.

Lol, how is that broken? The fact that you actually managed a 17 kill streak to earn it already says enough.

exactly what I thought, seems counter intuitive really. Put on focus and avoid mid to long range encounters.

I personally like range. Silencer damage drop off in COD games is usually pretty severe. I also always aim center mass though so kick usually nets me a headshot.

I've been using Focus a lot lately. I've mentioned it before but it helps with the gun fights I get into. Less flinch from being shot, more accuracy, higher chance at winning. And it's been working well.

Okay, I just logged on today and I see my Elite XP bonus is finally kicked in, as well as the exclusive callsign and emblem.

Still have no Elite weapon camo, though.

I'll try it out. My aim isn't great so I don't know if flinch really affects me. Usually if I'm getting hit I'm dead :lol

Ugh. I keep raging at this game but I keep coming back, and then I keep raging some more. I need to draw a line at some point and just move on to something else.

Weapon: Any AR or SMG + Silencer
Perk1: Sleight of Hand or Extreme Conditioning
Perk2: Hardline
Perk3: Steady Aim or Stalker

Strike package: Specialist -- Assassin, Quickdraw, Scavenger
Gametype: Demolition, Domination

Run around, shoot people, throw good stuns. If your whole team is running one way, turn around and go another (spawn system is trash). I have 3 M.O.A.B.'s so far using this setup.
