Why does the Sentry Gun STILL come in a care package whereas all the other equipment can be placed immediately (unless I am wrong).

It seems so, so much harder to get kill streaks going compared to any of the other CoD games, I can't seem to avoid dying after I kill one person because someone always pops up behind me.

The fact that Activision has an entire studio devoted to CoD Elite, and near unlimited resources, is fucking laughable. What have they been doing since the 8th besides sit on their asses? The app loads slow as shit, and the website is still down completely. No clans for you!

This is the best advice. If the team is running one way they are probably going to meet up with the enemy on some part of the map and blast each other to pieces. Best thing you can do is go the other way round back and flank them. You'd be surprised how many times they aren't expiating this, I've been able to get 3-4-5 kills this way.

It's not just you. Higher kill streaks are a thing of the past with the smaller maps and flanking options. This game is designed for quick lives - 4 or 5 kills per life is what I aim for, and thus, those are my killstreak options.

You really can't camp anymore.

You could always switch to support...

Yeah I've been using support, I've always been more of a support guy so I'm happy just dropping down UAVs.

This is actually a good thing. If you're smart with your movements you shouldn't get killed from behind very often. Due to the revenge spawning, after you kill 1-2 people you should go somewhere close by and hide for a second, a lot of the time the person you just killed spawned behind you and is out for blood. Let him look around aimlessly, then you can pounce for the easy kill.

Try support. When you level up enough, try using the Specialist package. I've been using it and have never looked back. So fun.

Yeah, I'm annoyed that they didn't adopt this from Black Ops (often the case with good stuff added by Treyarch). IW obviously felt like they didn't need to do anything other than copy and paste the scoreboards from MW2.

Well...this sucks. PSN says I have a Type 2 NAT (Open) when I do a connection test, yet MW3 says it is strict.

Any ideas to fix this?

They made the stages maze like to reduce spawn killing from n00b tubes at the start, yet the spawn system itself is a billion times worse than being killed in the beginning of a match.

There was a time me a buddy were splitscreening and I died 4 times in a row due to spawning on enemies, and as I was complaining how crappy the spawns were then we both spawned and got spawn killed.

There are so many problems with this game. I feel like IW kept their heads in the sand in regards to all the features that BLOPS did.

Just finished the spec ops "flood the market" on veteran solo, Rank 125th in the world. Now to find a co-op partner for the two that force me to be social and not a lone hero.

I get the feeling that IW is bitter about Treyarch using their engine and having success etc. They seem to ignore all improvements/features that Treyarch has made to the series and just do their own thing.

In a way I can't blame them. Treyarch got put on a series that IW started, and is making a killing off it. I actually promised myself I wouldn't buy Blops because it wasn't a "true" COD game. I eventually caved, and it's been the most fun I've had with a COD game since COD4. I actually find myself strongly looking forward to Treyarch's next COD game because the multiplayer in MW3 is pretty disappointing for me.

i'm pretty sure IW went on to starts their next game after MW2 while treyarch about to release black ops and vice versa. thus, the 2 years cycle.

cause treyarch cod games sucks. they tried to balanced and made everything right but they forgot to add the fun formula in.

I suggest opening a demilitarized zone on your PS3's IP. If you set up a static IP for your PS3 alongside the DMZ, you should be sailing smoothly on PSN.

OH YEAH!!!! I forgot to mention, earlier in a match someone literally spawned on top of me and it counted as a suicide for both of us, very weird. I'll find the clip later and upload it or something.

Does anybody still get the "Error 500" when they try to login on the elite website? I was able to access Elite on the ps3 during the first day but haven't been able to jump on since and the website login never worked for me.

It's really more of a case of the two studios' code branching so far apart that features from one codebase either work differently or are completely incompatible with the other codebase. From what I remember Treyarch modified the IW 3.0 engine for WaW and then further modified it for BLOPS. IW shipped MW2 on what they called the IW 4.0 engine. Lots of systems and features were developed twice by two different studios. It's only natural to expect differences. I'm sure all of the good Treyarch features/improvements will be back next year.

I typically play all COD games for 2 months or so and then move on. I think I may stop before christmas, or even thanksgiving. I don't feel like I am having fun.

I have never been killed from behind so many times before. It's ridiculous.

And no one cares if you get a KDR over 2 in domination. Abusing the people that are actually playing to win in that gametype is not skill. Do it in TDM and then you have something to talk about.

Also I hate how they moved all your weapon statistics to elite and you can't even access it. I wonder why they didn't revamp the UI with elite's UI style and just integrate it in.

I did that, and I assigned my PS3 a static IP. I'm still getting NAT: Strict. For kicks I loaded up Black Ops on 360 to test, and NAT was Open. The thing is my PS3 through the network connection test returns a Type 2 Nat, which is Open from what google says...

Any other ideas?

that PP90, Steady Aim, Specialist setup is. Holy crap. I am decent at the game, not great by a long shot, and I freaking destroy with it. Certain maps it is not great in (Fallen), but omg that setup is amazing.

Also wow @ Assassin Pro. That alone makes it the best of these streaks, when compared to Cold Blooded and Ghost. Immune to CUAV and EMP with how often those are up, just wow.

Higher level people have such a greater advantage in this game over the past 2. Having sooo much fun now that I've unlocked a few of these perks.
