Call Of Duty's Reveals Weed-Themed Nuketown Map

Call of Duty's new trailer features actors Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith portraying their legendary stoner duo known as Jay and Silent Bob, who also received their own operator bundles earlier in the season. As seen in the video above, the actors play the upcoming Nuketown variant called Blazetown as their very own Jay and Silent Bob operator skins

Who's gonna be blazing it boys?

What the hell happened to this series?

I guess Fortnite/gen z brain rot consumed Call Of Duty.

From Gary Oldman and Kiefer Sutherland to these two tossers.

Dimitri planting the flag with his last breath in WAW finale, Ghost's death in MW2. The games had awesome and iconic scenes but other than Cold War I can't even remember the current campaigns, I think I zoned out and never went back to the newest one.
Played multiplayer for 20 minutes and saw all this nonsense.

Is there a new movie coming out or something? Why are these stupid characters in the game?
I wouldn't be surprised if it's because of the popularity of weed related monetization. I could see them seeing weed related things selling real well, so they're trying to find ways to keep that going.

I'm embarrassed to just be alive at this point

...what kids are fans, or even know jay and silent bob?
Also the game is rated ESRB M/ PEGI 18, whatever kids are playing are the parents' problem.

The map is literally a weed based map. I'm not against weed at all so i'm not taking that stance but i do think promoting crap like this to kids/teens is ridiculous. And i don't think i've been in a gaming store that's enforced the age policy and i definitely know that it's easy to buy the game online even if ur not the age that's intended for it.

I get the point, and I'm sure they know their game is played by a lot of kids. But the game is rated M, so if any kid is playing this game, the parents are to blame.

I blame parents yes absolutely but we all know that if you buy this game online or on the ps store/xbox store that the age policy is a blip that's easily by passed and most parents don't even bother looking at ratings sadly lol.

...the game is rated M/18, nothing is being promoted to kids; the stores/parents not enforcing this for whatever reason is on them, not CoD.
Clerks was 30 years ago, nobody that knows/likes them is a damn kid.

Activision know who there audience is and they know that teens and kids under the recommended age for this game are buying this game. They're not fools. They just don't care and wanna exploit people with crap like this for money. I don't buy that they're clueless with who this game is ultimately being promoted too and bought by. They can use the age recommendation as an excuse, but they know 100% what they're doing.

Cringe overload and love how they're promoting drugs to an audience that consists of alot of kids.
I mean, not really. They've already showcased a number of IPs that kids don't know, because they know there's an older audience that plays. It's also rated M, so there shouldn't be kids, but that's all up to their parents, lol.

Yeah, in a game that's rated M/18+. They're not promoting it to kids/teens, they're making it for their fanbase that is likely buying a ton of weed related content they've sold. I mean, they already did Cheech & Chong, which is even older, so why wouldn't they do this? Especially if they're making money off weed related cosmetics, and it's clear they are as they keep coming, lol. That's true, but again, it's all up to the parents and how they take care of their kids.

Well, that's the fault of the parent's, but it is a decision that's up to them. But it's not like kids are gonna see this and all become stoners either, lol. That's like saying kids that watch violent movies or play violent video games grow up to become violent themselves, and that's not the case.

it literally doesn't matter, the game is properly rated and they are allowed to run events that are age appropriate because of it, whoever plays it in the end is out of their hands; with this logic every single rated M/18 game should not be allowed to be sold because kids might play them too.

Activision can hide behind the age rating but they know that kids and teens buy there game and they're using weed related content to exploit them for a quick buck. Were adults also the target audience when they had nicki minaj in one of there call of duties blowing people up??? They know that teens/kids make up a large portion of the fanbase.

Ain't the first time they're going hard into the weed theme. There's been other operators/guns/stickers/reticles/etc on the store for awhile now. I don't know what their obsession with weed is but it's getting beyond cringe at this point.

COD was so much better when it different have all these crazy characters and dumb shit. I dont know which COD game really started off all this Fortnitey stuff, but no more straight up gritty COD4 and World at War for ages.

But I guess I'm in the minority as COD sells tons of mtx and costume stuff. So COD gamers love it.

none of them, cod was like this before fortnite even existed
MW2019 was srs bsns (relatively) and BOCW... I bought the Rambo skin but I think the game kept the theming mostly intact. Even Rambo makes sense for that game, sort of.

This game is ridiculous. it's totally tacky and garish. This isn't even the first weed themed thing, there was a rasta iguana operator skin.

I'm pretty sure CoD4 and MW2 (and beyond) had weed emblems and stuff too. An entire generation grew up with weed jokes all over the place, though arguably theming a map around it is a bit more in your face.

I think it's lame, but not a huge deal.

Kevin Smith fell off so hard in my opinion. This ad is embarrassing.

Have any of the kids playing CoD even seen a Kevin Smith IP other than the godawful He-Man remake?

this started pretty much in 2014, even before that really, but 2014 was the most visible; and lol cold war? Cold war has rambo like you said, but also john mclane from die hard, Donnie Darko, and JUDGE DREDD, and GHOSTFACE from scream.....and that's ignoring the flaming skeletons

I just stopped taking COD seriously a long time ago. I still find it fun in small doses from time to time.

But it's clear people eat this shit up, it's why they keep making more. Be it weed related or just silly. People buy it, they make money, so they make more. 🤷‍♂️

I honestly don't remember that stuff maybe people used it less than people are now. Or the battle pass didn't have stupid shit like blackcell and androids like the new one does.
