Can Nintendo top AM2R with the next Metroid?

AM2R is amazing in both presentation and gameplay, while I respect what Nintendo has done and is doing I don't think they can top the burden of love that AM2R is.
 
this is going to be a super interesting comparison when the game comes out but for now let's skip the no-content speculation
