The lead singer is just yelling. Screaming... gibberish. The melodies aren't very apparent, either.

Do I need to be high to enjoy their music, or something?

But I can't even see how people would remotely like Alexisonfire. Someone listed their album in the "album of the year so far" thread.

Alexisonfire is probably some of the worst stuff I've heard, ever. I just don't understand how anyone can like them.

Its just what some people like. Some poeple just like the pure raw emotion of the screaming, even if they can't understand it. The first album was mostly just george screaming, but the second album has a lot more of dallas singing, and he has a very nice voice. I suggest at least give the new album a listen. There is still some screaming, but they toned it down and it is a bit more understandable.

Watch Out! is tamer than their first CD. A lot softer actually. Give the second CD a try if you haven't.

and yeah, some people love screaming. I love some pure screaming bands(Fear Before The March of Flames), but my favorites are those that scream and sing. Atreyu has perfected this style of music.

anyway, i dont get them either...too much noise for my tastes, if only he sang coherently, i'd like them a lot more. same goes for my chemical romance, though they are a bit better in this regard.

I didn't like their debut save for a few songs but I love every song on their new album. I attribute that to the decrease in screaming and more singing.

I'd have to say "Hey, It's Your Funeral Mama" and "It Was Fear of Myself That Made Me Odd" are my 2 favorite tracks off of "Watch Out!".
