Damn, seeing the movie again on DVD (and the pic of the menu) reinforced my opinion that the whole Smeagol prologue was the only scene in the whole trilogy I could have done without. Can't believe Jackson left that in and took out Gandalf and co. sorting out Saruman. :\

Yeah, the smeagol is down right cringe worthy. Definately the low point of the movie.

why do you wanna see the menu....my personal favs are the sketches of the characters that show through the credits. have you seen those?
