Can the GAF servers handle E3?

Of course it will. You couldn't even get on GAF during the MS press event.

It reminds me of every time EA releases a new sports game and they can't plan ahead enough to allow for the huge influx of players. Instead they always just give themselves this pathetic pat on the back and say, "wow we didn't realize so many people wanted to play our game! LOL"

Dammit now all I can think about is how much I hate EA.

I would like them not to, though.

Yep. I don't even know if there's any significant value to them being up though since most of the posts that do get through are either along the lines of "OMFG Megaton!!" or "This is so boring, where are the games!?".

The best moments are the ones when the servers are flickering and you post your wisdom three times because you are not sure it went through. Then press F5 at least ten times and pray to all known deities that GAF is still alive. The joy when you read your own posting and the surprise that the thread now has ten more pages.

Isn't it like the second or third thread about GAF's servers melting down at E3 in a month?

Poor guys doing the maintenance. D:

Pretty much guaranteed which is why I use the facebook group or just skip the whole thing altogether and wait for the summary's.

Admins and mods say they can't limit the forum because the forum is open to everyone blah blah but the forum ends up in meltdown for hours anyway so what difference does it make?.
Atleast limit the forum for the 1 or 2 hours when the conferences are on.

Evilore should take additional measures besides growing the number of servers. He should disable the site for non-members, disable off-topic and the community sections, as well as avatars and images. It'll only last for the duration of the conferences, so it's no big deal.
