Canada E3 Deals Thread 2016 |OT| 25x times better than last year!

Why can't they make their promotional rules simple and easy to understand! Leaving it at Offer limited to one per customer and account is just confusing as heck!!

Wish Amazon.ca had some way to give them a heads up they are missing a product on their site that should be listed. The best I've been able to do so far was go to Xseed directly on twitter and ask them about it

Plan to preorder both Pokemon games even tho I just want one, should I make those two separate orders or just leave everything in one order? Hate amazon but Best Buy isn't really saving me any money. ($xx in points, vs $xx in dollars isn't really that great to me.)

Not down with FF12s and KH 2.8s price but I'm hoping they drop in price closer to launch. Might cancel those two if not.

Redid my orders and put everything into one. FFXV was excluded and made an individual order for some reason, but oh well, I'm leaving it the way it is now.

Hope Amazon doesn't hunt me down.

I actually asked amazon csr a couple of days ago. They advised me to make one big order near the end of the promotion, and not to worry if it automatically splits up the order because the order was too big.

I'm just adding everything I want to my shopping cart and making one big order at the end. Not taking any chances!
Same here.

Well, I do already have an order placed, but I'll be cancelling that one and re-ordering everything else tomorrow, after Nintendo's showing when (hopefully) more titles are added to the website, such as Metroid Dread, Mother 3, etc.

Hey, a man can dream.

If Amazon says 1 order, do it in one order, some of you seem to forget that Amazon is known for outright banning people

That's for multiple returns though. I don't think anyone has ever gotten banned for promotion stuff. Plus they would need to filter out the bazillion people who are probably making orders of individual games without reading the rules.

Plus the promotion automatically applies - there isn't any way to opt out. So someone could feasibly just not even be aware of the promotion and be making individual orders of all the games. No way they are going to ban people for that.

The most reasonable way to interpret the rules is that you only get one of each game per account, which would make sense to prevent hoarding

Oh, is this the rule we're discussing? I thought that just meant one title per customer.

I guess there isn't any way to merge orders?

It's rarely ever done in my experience. Reps swear that it's not possible but it can be done. You just have to get lucky enough to find a rep that knows how and will do it.

It's a total guess, but I imagine Kingdom Hearts 2.8 drops to the World of Final Fantasy price ($59.99) at some point between now and December. The PS3 Kingdom Hearts games launched at $39.99, after all. Final Fantasy XII hopefully does as well, but given the upgrade they may keep it full price (and they know people will still buy it).

Also, completely glossed over this, but I wonder if they'll throw up the Crash Bandicoot remastered collection thing on Amazon!

So I noticed a few retailers dropped the price of the 500gb XB1 bundles from 399 to 349. Any chance this is permanent or likely just an e3 thing?

You only get it you pre-order from PSN or Live. Makes sense since you could otherwise just order from Amazon and then cancel as soon as you get the code.

Damn. I saw Amazon as one of the retailers based on a picture someone posted earlier I think. I just checked the South Park website and it's now only listing digital stores.

Ah well.

Happy to see that Amazon finally dropped this restriction from their list of promo qualifiers...

- Items must be purchased in a single order and shipped at the same speed to a single address.

It was there before and it's now gone (although it was clearly never working as stated in the first place).

That one per customer and account rule still seems wonky as all hell, though - unless it's just enforcing a unique quantity limit of "1" for each game you order on your account at 20% off.

Well, there you go

outside of pre-order, is there any E3 deal for games that are already out? I just bought a PS4 2 days ago but have no games yet.

Likely with the XB1S announced retailers will steadily drop/promo bundle existing XB1 bundles to clear stock. Expect $349 to be the new price for the base bundle, then maybe a back to school game bundle, Black Friday doorcrasher clearance at $299 and holiday phase in for the slim. Rumoured Slim price is $300USD so I imagine the slim will be ~$399CAD for the holidays.

Amazon.ca has Killer Instinct Season 3 listed for $39.99 with 30% off whereas it's listed as $60 on the US site. Seems we're getting a deal if the MSRP is supposed to be $60.

just to double check, if i had a game on amazon preordered last year that was part of the 30% deal and the price drops by $20, i still get 30% off on those games?

I don't recall that ever being there. I might have missed it though. Edit: Looked back in this thread saw that you posted it a few days ago. My bad. I am still confused by
▪ Offer limited to one per customer and account.

I assume that means one game being discounted per customer, per account.

My E3 pre-order list was looking pretty slim before the Sony conference.
My wallet hates you Sony.

Also, is the consensus that Amazon is the way to go?

Yeah. I wasn't adding much to my spreadsheet at all and then Sony added a ton of new games.

Nope. When it was announced, they specifically mentioned that it was getting a physical release.

That's surprising...okay, well then probably should be on the Amazon list in a few days. It takes time for the coverage to surface and Sony did briefly show it at the conference, right?

Edit: Amazon CS continues to be of questionable reliability; they told me flat out that if you cancel an order with the E3 2016 discount, that's it, you cannot get another discount on a future order this week.

Wait you're supposed to make a single order? That makes no sense since I'm seeing the 20% off on everything I've preordered so far.

Yeah, it seems like they removed that stipulation now. I made a single order and it was split into two orders anyway. It's all a bit silly.

I ended up doing a second order and the 20% off is working there as well.

Are the discounts applied after you check out or something?

Sorry I feel really dumb but only one of the games in my cart seemingly has a discount.

Edit: Nevermind, I need to just read better.

Yakuza 0 is worth the wait. Picked it up last year in Tokyo and even though I didn't play it all that far, it has my favorite combat system in the series so far. :)

Also, the one order per customer is kind of weird since they split it up anyway.

Going to make my order tomorrow I think.

Resident Evil VII is $69.99 for preorder on PSN.

Technically cheaper than Amazon since no tax. That's if you want to pony up the dollars now.

Urgh, can't believe Gravity Rush 2 still isn't on Amazon... It's the second E3 I've been waiting for it... Guess I won't be able to get a discounted copy on launch. :(

I don't think World of Final Fantasy is giving me the discount. I did have it ordered earlier, then cancelled and ordered it again with more games.

Y0 is getting physical release and PS4 only. I don't think it will pop up on amazon, since sega is completely absence from the show I think. I am also waiting for Ni-oh, berserk musou etc. But Gravity Rush 2 should be on it, it was shown at E3, just not at press con. We should contact amazon and let them know with source. I did it last year for a few games, eventually they pop up.
