Wondering if anyone has a link or info that will help. I recall something about Revenue Canada putting limits on self-employment losses (i.e: something like you can not claim a loss for three consecutive years or something).
It's not for this year's taxes, but working on my taxes has sort of rekindled a small business idea I had that wouldn't necessarily be profitable (EDIT: At least in the early days given some of the startup costs), but would stoke a bit of my creative fire... I imagine it would post some revenue in future years, though it's not a concept I ever expect will make me rich.
I've done the self-employed thing before, and it worked fine, but back in the day I had a steady contract that paid the bills. Didn't much care for paying both shares of CPP though.
