Trudeau coming in with the shade

I think I read there's actually a group putting forward the idea that the Conservative party should be pushing a revenue neutral carbon tax so this subset of Conservatives are probably not climate change deniers. The Ontario PC leader would be part of this group. Not sure how far this proposal will get with the general CPC delegates though...

For all the holdouts, come to Australia. We have a conservative party who refuses to acquiesce to the will of the majority of the population, even a majority of Christians and people who traditionally vote for them, in order to appease the far-right power factions within the party.

For all the bad stuff they have done, the fact that in the UK it was the conservatives who legislated for gay marriage gives me some small shred of hope.

(The fact tons of them voted against it and they needed the opposition to pass it is another matter, but at least they and the leadership did it!)
