I was supposed to receive a $15 credit towards any game purchase in March when I bought Twisted Metal...instead I got a $10 credit towards any game in March...

Chances are there won't be many since the general feeling from the GAF thread is Namco didn't make a whole lot of copies. If you want it it's probably best to pick it up now.

I can survive with the 4 gig right now so I'm not going to concern myself too much either. Hopefully Lumines/UMvC3 and Super Stardust fit on a 4 gig. Lumines might have a large file size though.
Has anyone heard anything about Witcher 2 Dark/Special Edition for XBox 360 coming to any Canadian retailers? So far I haven't had any luck finding it. It's on Amazon.com but not amazon.ca. I've checked other online stores (FS, BB, EB), but there's no sign of it.
If it comes down to it I can order it from the US. I'm getting it as a gift for a friend though, and it would be shitty for his present to arrive with a possible customs bill attached.

If it's going to the US, it's very likely coming to Canada. It may just be a delay due in listing it due to the stupid french packaging requirement.
Oh right - I forgot about that whole dual language package/manual requirement. That definitely could be holding it up. I'll keep an eye out.

I think you couldn't buy the FF13-2 CE in Quebec because they didn't bother translating the novella (which I never got, damnit).

Only a requirement if they want to sell it in the province of Quebec. The Mass Effect 3 Collector's is English only and some stores simply refuse to ship it to the province while others do. I am always confused by this whole thing (why some retailers ships English only to Quebec and others don't).
Which ones do and which ones don't? It probably has to do with whether or not the retailer has a presence in the Province.

That's what I initially thought but it does not fit. Gamestop and Amazon do ship here, Best Buy and FutureShop(same owners) do not. We have all of these stores here except Amazon which is an online store not based in Quebec. All of these stores also ships from Ontario. There is no consistency.
So Amazon and Gamestop are pulling an illegal move or Best Buy and Futureshop misunderstood the laws and they lose tons of sales because of it. I can't imagine that some stores would get the ok and some others would not. All I can say is FutureShop and Best Buy keep losing my money. It is really annoying when Best Buy has a good preorder or when they have their 10$ certificate upon pre-ordering. Just recently, from Best Buy and Futureshop, I could not order Blazblue Continuum Shift Extend, Kingdom of Amalur in English, Mass effect 3 Collector's edition and Final Fantasy XIII-2(Best Buy). I get really pissed off by the law 101.
So I've pre-ordered Mass Effect 3 Collector's Edition from Amazon.ca like months ago, and I'm just wondering how long shipping takes? You see, I'm thinking about using my first vacation week at work in March to play the shit out of the game (and to just relax of course). I was thinking of taking off the 12th to the 16th, and the game comes out on the 6th I believe. I just want to make sure I get the game before the 12th so I can play it on my time off.

You should with no issues normally it takes around 3-4 days shipped but it also depends where you live. I am on the prairies.
I'm in Toronto and I've always gotten games on the Thursday or Friday at the latest when the release date is a Tuesday.

Don't know abou local but buy a few from dealextreme. You may get duds. They aren't $3. I bought like 4 of them for that price last year from them. Look for another listing. There are tons on that site.

Well...whatever. Don't know how I missed it. Been waiting for an excuse to get a 3DS and Mario for under 200 taxes in and it just happened.
Also, the last mention in this thread was for the Pink system. I was able to get Black 3DS. Picking it up tomorrow.

The real deal was the tsilon code for a 3ds + some people getting mario or kart with it as well =/

You mean for people who didn't pre-order? Are they stocking them on shelves for non pre-orders? When I went to Best Buy to pick up my pre-order they didn't put any of them out and kept them all in the customer service area. Someone saw me grab mine and asked if they could buy one and the rep said they were only for pre-orders and to come back next week.

So my fellow money saving canuckleheads, I’m trying to parlay my tsilon.ca free game code which I had intended to use for Mass Effect 3 into getting Mass Effect 3 on origin so I can BF3 pc for free as well.
What are my options? Can I just use the code to order the game from futureshop, and return the copy from Origin when it arrives for full price and it’s as good as done? The only thing I am wondering about is would I be able to return a shipped copy like that, because I wouldn't really have a "bought in store" receipt.

I traded in 5 games towards a PSP Vita at the EB Games closest to my house, since they were qualifier games I ended up getting the promotion $25 each for a total for $125. With the long weekend just around the corner I'm totally up for getting a First Edition Bundle now but that store is sold out. There are 3 other EB Games in my city that have it in stock, is there any way I can take my in-store credit from those trade-ins to another EB Games to get a First Edition Bundle?
I am sure they would just go into the store that you got the credit and tell them what you wanna do.

Anyone want to split a Harold and Kumar Christmas multi buy with me? Couple of Rogers stores nearby already have the bluray on sale used for 2/$24. Couldn't find a second title that I wanted to buy, but they had two plus copies of H&K, so at $12 plus tax it's such a steal.

Just make sure you take whatever gets you more. You might have games that are over $25 and EB might pull a fast one on you and only give you 25.
