Nooooooooo! Wtf is that? A controller for ants? I was thinking these things would be a bit closer to what the Wiimotes are in size. No way I can play competitive multiplayer with that.
I really should take a closer look at the Switch. I don't even know how it plays games undocked yet. Is the disc player behind the screen?

You should read the GAF thread on Dishonored 2 PC performance first. 60fps might be harder to achieve than you think.
Nah I already tried it on my PC, it does have drops to 53-55, but I'm fine with that, especially at High settings on my ancient GTX 680.
I haven't seen it anywhere yet, not even as a placeholder

Yeah, with store allotments and it being three days now I'm assuming this is the case at the vast majority of stores in populated places.

Yup. But there is always a chance as someone how have preordered might of changed their mind and cancelled their pre-order so I would keep on checking the Best Buy, Amazon, & EB Games website. Think that's what happened to me last night when I was checking on the Best Buy sight most of the night last night (btw, overnight and not cancelled by Best Buy yet so I think I'm in the clear).
Yeah, I guess I gotta hope for a restock before release or I take the 3rd off work and go to Wal-Mart for when it opens.

Best Buy will put it up at a god forsaken time on a random day. It might be better to order it from Target.com and use code CANADASHIP to save $20 when they put it up.

It's not compatible with any older controllers, although you would think it should be for some games. It's just their evil way of forcing you to buy their overpriced controllers.
This is my plan, worked it out and it may actually be the cheaper option.
I'd like to know this too. Haven't seen any pro controllers for purchase online anywhere, like the listings aren't up yet or something.
Would the pro controller be worth going out of the way to preorder? Hopefully there will be enough accessories at launch, especially considering the price.
I did not know the Switch used cartridges, lol. Good choice. Discs would have been horrible.
I just saw the pics comparing the Switch with the 3DS and WiiU gamepad, and wow, it's a lot smaller than I thought. Not that it can easily fit in your pocket, but that's pretty much a handheld. It's like a Vita and Vita TV in one, but with weirder controls to account for it's home console counterpart. Maybe it's just me, but the impressions I got from Nintendo's marketing is that this thing is primarily a home console. Why are they doing that? I am so much more excited for this now that I know it uses cartridges and is mainly a portable. I mean, a portable Skyrim? A portable open world Zelda?! A portable Xenoblade Chronicles 2?!!!!! $400 is expensive, but I think I just sold myself on the Switch. Portable is totally my thing. Even when I'm at home, I prefer playing on it for some reason. Only thing of concern is that I'm not sure how sturdy a Switch is. A fall might spell it's doom.
Anyways, now I'll have to hunt down an EB store that's still taking preorders. I might be SOL there, but fingers crossed! If I can't find anything, I'll just take it as it wasn't meant to be. I did just buy an X1 last month and haven't opened it yet.

Are we sure this will work? It says it ships to Canada, but I just went through the process of preordering vanilla Zelda for Switch (just to see what the ordering process even was), and it wouldn't let me do it. I got an error saying "This product was not found in our international database. Please remove this item from your shopping cart and try again."
Maybe preorders don't work?

Having grown up on the 2600, and the 7800, I do not miss those at all Lol. NES is where gaming started IMO
For anyone looking for a switch pro controllers, you may want to wait till after the 20th, when Japanese pre-orders go up, as the third party controller start to get listed.

I'm looking to sell my Wii U privately and if that doesn't work out I am going to just do the EB trade deal for $150.
However, I have a couple full games and eshop games downloaded on it. Will I ever be able to recover those? Is my account locked to this Wii U?

Is there even a market for the Wii U anymore? They don't even make them anymore, I would think anyone who would want one now knows the market is going to be flooded with them shortly.
Apparently EB will offer me $75 for my OG 3DS XL, which is way more than I thought they would :lol
I am keen to trade in that along with Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon toward a Switch (would get me close to $200 credit total), but unfortunately the EB stores near me aren't accepting any more Switch pre-orders it seems

They'll probably go up again for preorder, I hope anyway. There's a chance that they might go up on release day.
I dunno about the special edition one though.
The master ed that's supposed to be an eb exclusive only lasted a few mins, eb might be holding up more stuck to make sure that they don't oversell.
I think there might be some values there before they got the double up. Like, no way The Wonderful 101 is $4, can it?

They probably got the value from my post and I gave mine before any deals since I think it's misleading to list the post-deal values as there are several different promotions they could fall under. I noted such when I originally listed them.
