Aw man... Yakuza 0 is 30% off on PSN, but I wanted a physical copy. Any chance Amazon matches or runs a similar discount? Has this happened before?

I bought it full price last week. My soul is burning right now. So worth it though, I'd buy at this price if I were you.

Not a dumb question. It is always being sold higher on Amazon by resellers and it's rarely in stock at MSRP. When the Neon colour gets restocked anywhere, it seems to sell out in 5 to 15 minutes. Grey restocks also tend to sell out quick, but a little slower than Neon. Grey stock sometimes even last for a couple hours. Because of the low inventory and quick sales, it's very rare to see one in stores or online at regular price.

Is 0 a requirement before playing Kiwami? I plan on getting 0 one day, but I'm curious if it's mandatory before diving into that one first.

Thanks... I thought it might be but I haven't seen one for less than $500 anywhere so I thought I was tripping out.

Probably not a requirement per se, as I'm pretty sure there is a decade or so gap between them, but it will definitely help frame some of the character motivations and why they are how they are, or what happened to them in that timeframe, etc.

Not sure if it's mandatory but I'd say it's a great place to jump into the series. I've been enjoying it a lot and and excited to continue through the series from here.

I've played every game in order of release (including Ishin, Kenzan and the PSP games) and 0 put so many things in perspective for me. It's definitely standalone though so it's your call in the end.

Awesome. I'll likely pick up 0 now and hold off on Kiwami till later in the fall. The price on 0 has been holding steady since it released so it finally being $55 is nice to see (plus I have PSN credit, which helps!).

Edit: The heck with it, buying 0 today and Kiwami at the end of August, haha.

I feel like we won't be seeing some deep discounts on a lot of games till maybe this Fall on both Amazon and BB. I'm personally waiting on KOFXIV, Blazblue CF and GGXrd Rev 2 physically but they never go on sale. Digital goes on sale like every other week lol

Amazon is a special kind of stupid I swear... they fucking wrapped Cloud in bubble wrap inside a box, I'm like yes finally one that's not fucked up... nope they fucking bent the entire box all to hell and gift wrapped it for me.

Guess that's another one being opened lol, I've had maybe 4 survive with nice boxes, Bestbuy sent Bayo P2 in perfect shape

Opened one of my P2 Bayonetta's only to realize it never actually had an NFC Blocker in the package. Anyone else end up getting this lucky? Wish I knew before opening it.

Anyone have any good deals on any decent(ish) computer monitors? An old secondary broke the other day and I need a replacement, but am not looking to spend much more than 200 bucks.

Only caveat is that the stand needs to rotate into portrait mode, I'm vesa plate-less at this moment.

I think that's a mistake in an Illustrator (or Photoshop) piece together of a controller Nintendo did.

Also I just realized that it will look weird to play it without a cart in the slot...

With the NES it didn't matter since the door was closed but on the SNES it will look off. They should have made a fake "21 in 1" cart lol

I wish the controllers were wireless. It's not like it'd be THAT much more expensive to produce.

But even then, without the full DKC trilogy, I'm out.

Anyone looking for a Switch in the Ottawa area:

Toys R Us in Orleans on Innes Road have multiple Switches in stock right now. You'll need to ask for it at the front since they are keeping them in the back.

Does PSN charge for pre-orders right away or only once they launch? I'm wondering if I can remove my credit card from the payment methods once I pre-order a game?

I was actually able to get a refund for South Park: The Fractured but Whole, but that was a rare exception due to the game getting delayed and not having a release date at the time. Funny thing was, pre-ordering that game gave me Stick of Truth for free automatically, and I got to play that game completely before getting my refund.

One of the few good memories I have with Sony's customer service.

The possibility of pre-orders is still unknown at this point in time.

I cannot guarantee that announcements will be posted before products go live on the website, but if and when the gaming department wants to make announcements, then they will be made on the forum and on @BBYC_GamersClub on twitter. Usually, things like this are announced prior to going live on the website, but it's not something I can personally guarantee.

Asked amazon.ca support why Axiom Verge wasn't getting the 20% Prime Discount treatment and this was their answer.

"I've checked with our concerned team and confirm that there is no such promotion available on our website.
If the current price is more than 20% off the List Price, the E3 promotion will not apply."

What the hell does that even mean? E3? Confused idiots.
