From past experience, they haven't ever tested my controllers when I traded them in. I've traded in my old Dualshock 3s that died without issues.

In fact, I don't think I've ever seen them do hardware tests. I traded in my PS4 to upgrade to a Pro and they didn't even bother messing with my system before accepting it.

I know, and I was thinking of doing that for the DS4, but it defeats the purpose of trading them in if I need to pay ~$30 each to "fix" them first.

Regardless, a two year old controller that has been charged no more than 15 times shouldn't simply die, IMO.

That's true, they didn't check my PS4 when I traded in for the Pro besides checking that all of the accessories were in the box. Maybe I'll bring them in and see what they say; I shop there quite a bit so they likely won't check them for me.

Not a problem. You can do whatever you want on the $50 credit. I just put it on a pre-order game temporarily.

They always check mine...thoroughly...it's because I'm brown is it? lol.

Speaking of controllers.

My Switch controllers are starting to develop the dreaded handprint patterns. This is expected given the material/texture type they went for, right?

I know, it was more a question of whether they would care that the controller won't turn on without plugging into a console.

Equally unlucky that both controllers (DS3 & DS4) died at basically the same time.

Man, I'm really, really sick. But that controller trade in deal is too good to pass up for my four DS3s that are never gonna get used again. Will just use the basic DS4 support the PS3 has if I ever need to play a game on it for the really rare local multiplayer game session of an old game, have a cronusmax plus as well.

Yeah you can bring multiple. They didn't day anything.

So happy I finally got Yakuza 0. It's used but since the physical copy never went on sale I'm fine with it.

I only see the $10 mobile app login promo. Minus the deposit bonus ones anyway. Can you only get it if you're creating a new account?

I've managed to cash out $100 from free money promos on that site so far. I'm always on the lookout for more free money promos.

I got home late from studying and I felt that fot sure when I played a little. I ended up playing a little more in bed on Vita... I gotta figure out how to make time for this.

Went to SDM and grabbed 2 new controllers with my points.

Went to EB and gave them 2 DS4 and 1 DS3. Put that towards a Platinum Headset. Can't wait to try it out!

Dude processed the trade without any questions. As I was on my way out, he asked me whether he needs to send them to head office or if they're in good condition.

I've been looking for the headset at multiple SDM and been asking in here multiple times but they don't seem to carry it.

My buttons were starting to stick and I have nothing else to really use my points on.

What do you guys use to scrape off dried off shit/particles stuck on the windshield that doesn’t wash out? Like a plastic chiesel that doesn’t scratch the glass.

I used to detail cars at a dealership, soft steel wool (0000 IIRC).

I haven't traded in this much in forever. Picked up Fire Emblem Valentia and pre-ordered Yakuza Kiwami

Yup EB trade deals in the last year have been great.

Doubt Id have upgraded to a PS4 Pro or Switch if it weren't for their trade promos.

Definitely have to give them credit. I'd honestly never bothered with trading in or anything like that before but some of those offers this year have been totally worth it.

I wonder what their Xbox One X upgrade will be like at $599, maybe trade in an Xbox One S + $349? What difference did you have to add for the Pro?

Does anyone here have any of the Galaxy Edge phones? If so, what do you use as a screen protector?

I've always used tempered glass, but apparently they're all pretty poor for the Edge, and I can't imagine going back to not using them.

Pro was $499, and if trading in a console, $50 was deducted from price, and OG xbox1 got $190ish + edge bump so like just over $200.

My guess is they'll be fishing for people to trade in ps4 pros...so like $199 + Pro and $349 + PS4.

Got the s8 plus, no protector. It's the latest gorilla glass, no need imo. Had the s6 edge before it and that was fine without it too. Mind you, I do have it in the flip open case for body and face protection when in pocket.

I use a Spigen Neo Hybrid for my current S6. I'm pretty rough with it so I definitely need shock protection and whatnot.

Gravity Rush Remastered on Amazon.com did the same thing. It finally bottomed out at about $19 or so.

Think of it like Let's Make a Deal: you can walk away and be content with your winnings now, or keep waiting and have the potential for something even better, or nothing at all.

(Though if I remember correctly I initially missed out on the Gravity Rush deal, but then it spontaneously shot back down to $20 and I snagged it without a second thought. Great purchase in hindsight.)

Now I'm tempted to get Superbeat Xonic on PS4, lol. I prefer playing it on the Vita, but just read that it comes with 10 DLC tracks the Vita had, and all first print copies come with a 2-disc soundtrack, which is pretty nice, though it's a gamble if this is a first-print copy or not.

Decided to buy it on Best Buy, and if it has the soundtrack, will just price-match.

As someone who works for a carrier. Gorilla Glass means crap really. The s8 screen scratches pretty damn easily and the tempered glass options available are not too great. Best and affordable screen protector I found is the spigen neo flex. I use it with a tech 21 case and when I know I'm going somewhere with higher risk of me breaking it I put on my lifeproof.
