Nobody ruins my family vacation but me...and maybe the boy!
Fuck you Harper, good riddance and don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Getting beaten by a Trudeau is sweet justice for him trying his hardest to ruin our country.

Also, have to bow down to gutter, he's been saying that JT will be the next PM since the start of the election period. Good call!

Glad to see Harper gone. Very glad.

At this point I'm fearing a majority, however. I'm not sure I trust any party with that sort of control to reform the electoral system in any meaningful way. Time to keep pressing I guess!

I'd rather "I'll leave the pomp to you, Justin"

Ballots run out in 2 First Nation polling stations

Two polling stations in First Nation communities ran out of ballots on Monday, the final voting day in the current federal election.

The polling stations, in Ontario and Alberta communities, ran out of ballots in the late afternoon and early evening, triggering calls to Elections Canada officials.

The incidents may signal a large voter turn-out from First Nation communities.

Assembly of First Nations National Chief Perry Bellegarde has been pushing the First Nation vote and he even cast a ballot for the first time in a federal election Monday in Ottawa.

The AFN has identified about 51 ridings were First Nation voters could influence the final outcome.

Wab Kinew, a well-known author and educator, said ballots ran out at the polling station set up in the school gym in Onigaming First Nation, which sits in northwestern Ontario and his home community.

Kinew said the ballots were replenished by Elections Canada in the early evening.

Kinew said the polling station ran out of ballots as a result of the high number of unregistered voters who showed up to cast their ballot.

“They were down to the last few ballots, 10 ballots or so, and people were still coming in,” said Kinew, who is currently in Edmonton but is in touch with his home community. “Tonnes of First Nations people have turned out to vote.”

Kinew said no one was turned away from voting.

“People are now going door to door and driving people to the poll,” said Kinew.

But this does NOT affect the life of the average Joe Six Pack. That's my point. This is internet overreaction.

The hell are you saying? The environments health doesn't effect the average person? Social services don't impact normal people? Geeze the conservatives are really out of touch

So what went wrong with ndp? I intended to vote for them all a long, and did.

Everyone at work and my friends were all on the fence, it seemed. Then the last couple of weeks or so they all started talking about supporting the liberals. Many seemed to just want to be sure that conservatives didn't win again. It didn't seem like a vote against the ndp so much as a vote against the conservatives.

Definitely life-death situation for the NDP right now. They really need to make the right choices going forward. I knew those Quebec seats would be flimsy. that's why I was sad when the new NDP was concentrating so hard on Quebec and not on their loyal seats like Hamilton, Winnipeg, Vancouver etc.
There's nothing they can do. Just yell at Trudeau during question period? This was the chance of a generation and they totally blew it.

what Canada really needs to understand is that Quebec voted for Jack Layton the MAN last time, not for the NDP the Party.
Yes, this is why his death really felt like the end of an era for me. I had hopes for the NDP after that, but clearly that didn't pan out.

Disrepair.

Take Care.

Mulcair.

Amazing!

According to CBC Poll tracker, Paul Dewar is losing to the LIB candidate (by four votes and one poll reporting). I voted liberal because I prefer their platform, but I actually preferred Dewar as a candidate from their appearances on Power and Politics. Proportional representation can't come soon enough for stuff like this!

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK IS GOING ON WITH THE NDP...l......

Why.... godamnnit... this is horrible. This is insane. I honestly can't believe it....the is going to be a joke after the number of seats they won in 2011.

Fuck you Harper for destroying the party that was led by the man who gave us medicare (partially, at least).

Really hoping my hometown of Windsor stays away from the Cons. Would love to see Jeff Watson lose in Essex, and I hope Jo-Anne Gignac doesn't win Windsor-Tecumseh. But it's full of old folks, and Gignac was a safe city council candidate forever.
