Why wasn't this posted? Does he own the hotel also?

Donald Trump wants to drain the swamp, but first he’ll have dinner in it.

If you donate $1 million or more to Trump’s presidential inaugural committee, you'll get eight tickets to a dinner (candlelit) where the president-elect and vice president-elect and their wives will make an appearance.

Other perks for the million dollar donors?

If you donate the big bucks you’ll also get priority hotel booking for inauguration week — though you have to pay for the room and stay for a minimum of four nights.

The gifts come from a brochure by the committee raising money for Trump’s inauguration and posted online by The Center for Public Integrity. It breaks down what you can get if you donate between $25,000 and $1 million. Many of the same events are open to the smaller donors, though they'll receive fewer tickets and there are less options as the donations get smaller.

Trump spent much of his primary campaign railing on his opponents for accepting high-dollar donations (Trump funded most, though not all, of his primary campaign.) A huge part of his campaign message was to "drain the swamp" in Washington of establishment and elitist special interests, but it looks like he’s willing to make an exception for his inauguration festivities.

Whats to ignore? Hilary has gotten 1million plus donation before and she doesnt even show up for dinner.

That is actually better because you don't get a 1 on 1 with her. In this situation, you can get a 1 on 1 with Trump and/or Pence.

All are gross tho.

Wait, you have to stay in his hotel for four nights? What the fuck?

I'm not sure I could come up with enough things to do in Washington DC (especially during inauguration week) to fill up four days.

It says Trump will make an appearance, not that it's dinner with him. It's like "having dinner" with a sommelier or the valet.

Does trump have anything to do with this decision?

Looks like these people are in charge of that

and here's a tidbit from Obama's 2012 Inaugural donation packages. Which sounds about the same.

Donors at the "Washington" level are offered "premium partner access" for a minimum donation of $250,000 from individuals and $1 million from corporations. The package includes four tickets to the inaugural ball, an in-demand perk with just two being held this year on inauguration night. Inaugural planners also offered $60 tickets for members of the general public, but they sold out quickly Sunday night. Tickets to the Commander In Chiefs Ball are free for invited members of the military and other guests.

"A dinner with Trump" is not the same as "a dinner where Trump makes an appearance"

He just bursts through the door and keeps on walking

This isn't drastically different from other inaugural fundraising, as pointed out. It's definitely not better though. It's also explicitly offering paid access to the VP at least. I mean I'm sure other big donors got face time with the president and or VP at these things but generally more discreet about it.

Also also I wonder which hotel, specifically.
